  1. But wait! There's more! on Adobe Putting PDF Reader In a Sandbox · · Score: 1

The sieve-like structure of the Adobe Sandbox (tm) assures that the sand is self-cleaning! And for a nominal fee, Adobe is delighted to offer genuine replacement Adobe Sand (tm) with 100% Photoshop compatibility!

Totally autonomous cars also mean surrendering control and anonymity. Is the reduction of traffic jams and maybe a reduction of accidents worth being tracked in real time? One might even have to declare how many occupants for the levying of fuel/power consumption taxes. Law-and-order types will demand only legal citizens be allowed on the 'auto' roads (papers, please). Oh, and since you can't have a mix of manual and guided cars sharing the same road, the poor need not bother (to the mud and washboard for you lot!).

  19. Double-Plus 5 Insightful on RIAA's Tenenbaum Verdict Cut From $675k To $67.5k · · Score: 1

Either haul one person to court and make them pay these huge fines, and indemnify the rest of the people from prosecution for that infringement. Or try each person in court for their single infringement. You cannot have it both ways and fine every single person for his/her infringement plus the infringement of every other filesharer, and do the same for every other filesharer. Much like if you file suit against a commercial pirate, the people who bought CDs from that pirate are not liable for infringement.

Has anyone ever thought of using this arguement in court? What would be the defense against it?
