The worst part is, this post-9/11 monitoring has caught exactly zero dirty bombers. Ok, point taken. But what about deterence? Akmed Jackoff and his small crew of would-be terrorists know that they will very likely be caught before carrying out this type of attack. Yea, they will just attempt something else, but might the hope be that their 'plan b' attack is less deadly in scope? If a group wants to hit us, it's going to happen. But throwing up the white flag and not even trying to defend against substantial attacks is ludicrous. My 2 cents.

I can back this comment from experience. I've had a verizon aircard issued to me up until a few months ago from work for the last 2yrs, my experience is however limited to metro-Boston and Chicago markets. The signal strength can go from great to only 2 bars (~60-90kbps) in large buildings, but i was generally pleased and able to VPN with work with at least 2 bars (@1 bar the connection was more hit or miss and the connection would often fail).
Other food for thought, when i used this card (v620) there was a point I can remember when its driver had not been updated for over a year. This really aggrivated me, because due to some driver conflict in Xp whenever i resumed from a standby the device was completely unresponsive, requiring a reboot. Very frustrating. I have no idea how the drivers are now for the newer cards, but these kinds of things could occur.

My admittedly worthless opinions on pop culture, politics, the media and my personal past were quickly linked by sites like Fark, Gawker and Pajiba and I found my readership growing exponentially. During this time, I still didn't consider telling my superiors at CNN what I was doing on the side, simply because, having never been provided with an employee handbook, I hadn't seen a pertinent rule and never signed any agreement stipulating that I wouldn't write on my own time. I hadn't divulged my place of work and wasn't writing about what went on at the office. The views expressed on my blog, Deus Ex Malcontent, were mine and mine alone. I represented no one but myself, and I didn't make a dime doing it.
