    This is completely wrong. Although there exists functionality in Ubuntu to report home all of your installed packages, this is purely on an opt-in basis. It doesn't do it if you don't want it to.

    Not only is the Wii the cheapest next-gen console available, but it's also the only one being sold at a profit, it's breaking records everywhere, and it's a universally liked console. The people over at Nintendo must be happy.

    That's funny, I'd ask people left-of-center the same thing (except a few issues...)

    Different people are brought up differently, and therefor have different values. It's really not hard to understand. Some people think that a mother should be able to have an abortion, and others think this is killing a [potential] life. I think it's certainly debatable, even [especially?] among intelligent, articulate, educated people.

    Variety is [almost] always good. It gives everybody a reality check.

    No. But Vista is relevant to alienation. This has been driving people away from Windows, and in some cases, into Linux.

    Not only that; If more people run Linux, more hardware vendors will be willing to make drivers for their products. This is a Good Thing.

    That pretty much sums it up. Microsoft is inherently evil, and the sooner they fall, the better, IMHO. So when I tell someone to use Linux, I'm helping that purpose, and besides, Windows isn't any better Linux, and Linux is free, so why not?
