I find blue to be the worst to focus with. That may be because my sources of blue light are not sufficiently narrow band in the spectrum. Being spread out over the spectrum, it basically comes in fuzzy. Blue is also lower in contrast.

Green (be it green on black or yellow on red or even cyan on blue) is better.

Red seems to be the best in terms of focusing a sharp defining edge. You get red contrast with red on black or yellow on green or magenta on blue. Human eyes have different sensitivities for different colors. The most sensitive color for human eyes is green since we have higher number of cones sensitive to that spectrum.

Try to get two lasers, one green and the other red, with exactly same output power and beam width. The green laser beam will look more intense to you than the red.

the mode pool for each display device, and the MetaModes for each X screen can
be dynamically manipulated. The "Display Configuration" page in
nvidia-settings uses this functionality to modify the MetaMode list and then
uses XRandR to switch between MetaModes. This gives the ability to dynamically
    configure TwinView.

IMHO AMD Athlon/Turion 64 X2 chips are still very great chips, although they are not the *fastest* in the market. It is too bad that most of people only look at benchmarks for evaluating CPUs, specially when most of the major benchmarks out there are *owned* by the market itself.

Looking at most of my friends who have core 2 duo laptops mostly with Vista, I'm still impressed how buggy the Centrino technology is. They get BSOD and cold reboots when turning on the wireless card or even when they are actually doing nothing! I'm sure most of you will say: "-Hey dude, it's windows!". But, might it be windows fault?

I own a Turion64 X2 + nForce + Geforce laptop. This hardware combination is awesome, the system is always smooth even under heavy cpu or hdd I/O. I never had a machine hardware exception, no overheat nor compatibility problems. What I would want more? Nothing. I would not trade this laptop by any superior Core 2 Duo solution.

And why average Joe cares having a fast multi-core CPU when all his applications are word, excel, mostly single threaded programs?
