Those light-lined streets aren't lit anymore. Some busy streets have one light on every other light pole still powered and some streets don't have any powered lights.
That's something I noticed when I was case shopping recently. I've got more room for expansion slots than I know what to do with when I would really only need maybe 3 or 4(GPU, eSATA, USB 3.0). I still use my DVD drive occaionally but I've got room for 3. Maybe I could get some kind of control panel for the other slots. I've got 2 HDDs and an SSD but my case also has a dedicated SSD spot, which means I'm still not using half of my HDD slots. It all seems kind of silly.
Judging from the comments and my own experiences, your ticket prices are way off. My local one is $8/person, the snack bar is reasonably priced and much cheaper than the local theaters, plus you can bring in whatever you want. I almost forgot to mention, that $8 ticket gets you 2 movies!
I go to the one in Abilene, as well. I've also got a minivan with back seats that flip back. Tickets are cheaper than anywhere else and the food is good and cheap. Bonus points because each $8 ticket is for a double feature. We can put the kids to sleep in the back of the van and enjoy the movie. The only downside is bugs.
I've noticed that the traditional educational channels like discovery, animal, and history channel tend to only show educational stuff in the mornings for a few hours at most. The rest of it is reality tv.
You can doubt it all you want but you'd be very wrong. The inner screen is 10 miles from the carrier. The outer screen is 50 miles away and the picket is well over 100 miles away.
I just don't think you understand the scale we are talking about. Nukes can destroy a very large area but carrier groups occupy a significantly larger area.
A nuke could indeed destroy a capital ship but not more than the HVUs of a strike group if they are close together. The base surge of the Baker test would only reach less than a quarter of the distance to the inner screen of the group, which is usually 10 miles away from the HVUs. Even the waves generated by the blast would be nothing more than small swells at the inner screen. My point is that a strike group occupies a very large area, even with respect to the incredible power of a nuke.
How would a nuke take out most of a carrier group? They travel spread out over a large area. You might be able to take out the carrier and a supply ship that happened to be close.
One job I had was close to a highway that was heaven at 6am but turned in to hell at 6:05. If I left on time, I got to work 10 minutes early. If I left 5 minutes later, I wouldn't get to work 5 minutes early but 5 minutes late!
The last time I walked into one of their stores it seemed more like a toy store. Most of it was toys, puzzles, and games. It wasn't what I was expecting at all.
One of the intricacies that you've missed is that a company can be referred to as a group of people instead of a singular entity. Just imagine (The people of) Microsoft, (the people of) Sony.
Actually, it does. It uses no sequitur focusing to change the subject of the photo. You can try to take a picture of something but it will focus on the foreground or the background rather than your intended subject. It will then promptly jump out of your hand in an attempt to crack the glass.
The green square helps but it can't make artistic decisions. The photograph will be properly exposed by certain measures but it can't fix composition or subject matter.
You say that, but I've looked at videos that buffered at low resolutions even though I could watch a popular, high-resolution video without buffering. So, yes, you can access any video but you probably won't enjoy it.
There was a subway bombing in Russia, I believe, and they determined that the fact that it was rush hour actually saved lives instead of increasing the body count. Pretty ironic.

The Pig Stand in San Antonio, TX often has at least 2-3 cop cars in the parking lot every time I go by.

Private pilots fly over urban airspace all the time. I used to live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and there are small airports all over the place.
It doesn't load at all on my work computer. I just see a blank space where the video is supposed to be. So it actually doesn't exist for me.

I see your problem. Carrier groups only do that for pictures. They normally cover a 50x50 mile area or larger.

That is a strange headline and completely dismisses the accomplishment.

Are you saying that if someone is good at their job and their employer likes them they shouldn't leave their job?
I thought my new monitor was awesome and bright until I opened Excel. I could barely look at the screen!
The flash flood warning I got this evening was easily dismissible from my notification center.

I've never even heard a Presidential Alert so I'm not worried about it.
