I guess I don't know your experience, but I use my SMS and facebook to keep in touch with those I care to really keep up with and get zero spam on either of them. I get a bit of ham on facebook, but it was all opt-in.
Please provide some context to how you end up with spam heavy facebook and sms, as I've been using both for more than two years (ish) and have had no problems.
Nope, product of a public education, I just value the access of everyone to a decent education for free if they want one. I think we can do better, but "libertarians" tend to be those who think they didn't get much from their eductaion (and usually didn't).
As long as the noise is not actionable, we have a check and balance system with judicial review, just as intended by the framers of our system of government. It should be expunged from any public record and not valid as a reason to obtain a further warrant. If a subsequent warrant granted DOES pertain to info picked up in noise, it becomes valid and actionable, but has to clear judicial review to be sure we're not gaming the warrant system to allow info we had beforehand not in good faith.
You asked for a suggestion. Instead of attaching a warrant to the "line" attach it to the information. Say you can do what you need to do (under judicial review for admissability) to obtain information about a particular suspect. If you cross that line, you get your hand slapped and ALL the information about the subject in question is blindly thrown out.
Modern interpretation of the intent of the law imho.
This was the case when the distro shipped. This is the driver model in linux. The mainline kernel supports drivers that have become stable. New card == new driver == not stable == not in mainline kernel == build it.
Someone with an average level of technical ability would have more trouble accomplishing the same task in Windows (I know, I helped someone do it recently).
These drivers happen to build flawlessly. Again, I know because I've done it recently. It even packages it up and wraps it in a.deb for you.

So we have an unsubstantiated sentence by "Dan Kaminsky"? Who doesn't happen to be one of the researchers, so how does he know what he knows? That's usually the standard in "journalism", quote sources otherwise I can write a lot of stuff that's just talking out of my ass.
So where's the article detailing what was in the summary. NONE of the links has any details on what the summary claims. There's simply the "proof of concept scanner" but no info on any of the linked blogs about it, no info on the major sites linked about it....
I know the plural of anecdote is not data, but I am on my third Xbox (I've only purchased one). The first one would sometimes freeze up on powerup, sometimes give an E74, and they wouldn't replace it till it RROD'd, it lasted two months. The second one lasted just over a year (long enough for the standard warranty to run out) it started randomly freezing up in the midst of games, the menus, etc and at completely random intervals. They refused to replace it. Flatly refused, the only thing the 3 year warranty is for is RROD's. Eventually (a few weeks later) it did RROD:
Advice for the unfortunate out there, don't pay $100 or so to ship your console to Microsoft if its freezing up, wait a bit and actually use it and put up with the freezing for a few weeks, it seems likely to result in a RROD.
The scale of "very close" in air at sea level is MUCH smaller than you think it is. Stick your hand out your window going 65 and see if you can feel a spot where the wind isn't moving close to the window.
Annuities cannot be classified as an investment vehicle by technical licensing terms because it guarantees a return, thus it is an insurance product. Lots of people in the family are brokers (not me) so I hear about this shit constantly. I also hear about the dumb shit rich people do with their money. Most rich people are not as smart or savvy as you give them credit for. They have Daddy's inheritance squirreled away in the same annuity its been in for the last hundred years because it gives them enough to live on VERY well and continues to grow. Family wealth is an entirely fucked up different animal than personal wealth and its managed BADLY.
No you'll qualify as the guy the sysadmin hates because you THINK you know what you're doing when really all you know is how to write a (broken) Xorg.conf (which is now unnecessary). Read some O'Reilly books and tinker, but to become a sysadmin, get a degree. Many CC's these days have classes in linux system administration.

Wow, you obviously didn't get much out of that tax funded public education, so I can see where your "ideals" come from. /burn karma burn/
I've seen BSOD's in both 2000 and XP. Within the last two years (when I stopped using XP).
Install Driver, add hardware, power down, remove hardware, power up, BSOD.

You must be new here.

For posterity. Have fun digging!
You need to build the drivers from source for any of the latest cards and 8.04. I have an identical setup.
Follow these instructions:

Just trying to get the stupid achievement if its real.
Trying to get the "April Fool" acheivement.

Very crappy post, editors!
I know, don't feed the trolls, but Steam works well through Wine.
