It is also more toddler friendly. No more scratched disks! Also back-up those games that don't let you back them up so your perfect Mario Cart Wii 3 starred mirror cups don't suddenly go poof while you have your back turned for a second.
Why isn't there better security on the "delete" features of games? (or better hidden?) Some games make deleting a save just as easy as loading it! I'm looking at you Rabbids go home.
Overrated is not a moderation for "I disagree with this."
Somebody wanted to bury this since I have at the time of this post 30% Funny 70% Overrated.
If this gets moderated in the same way, I'm going to take this as a sign that this is something valid but being suppressed. If you disagree with this, reply as such and your reasoning why.
My proof this works: I gave a jar to my dad recently. He started taking a little bit each day. During the time he was taking the colloidal silver, his wife got ill. My dad normally gets ill when others around him get ill, but this time, he stayed healthy.
Something else I wanted to mention, larger organism (mammals, fish, plants, multicellular things) use a different method of processing their oxygen which makes Colloidal Silver safe for them.
Repost: Go to your local GNC, buy a bottle of Colloidal Silver. Drink it over the next few days. One bottle won't turn you blue (and it is really hard to do with lots of silver).
Colloidal Silver kills Bacteria, Viruses, and Molds by interfering with their oxygen processing enzymes. It effectively suffocates them to death.

I sit just me, or would you expect that the change would only be committed once the data was written to disk under all circumstances? To me, it sounds like somebody screwed up a part of the POSIX specification. I should look for the line that says "During a crash, loose the user's recently changed file data and wipe out the old data too."
The most appreciative thing you could do for the preservation of history is to place static simple RSS files at those addresses that include a link to your archives for the event.
Do the backups, then charge them back-costs on the service they didn't think they needed, but now do. If not, let them play with the disk recovery companies, etc.
They'll give you a cookie that tells them you have opted out. Then another firm will track which things you weren't tracked in because you opted out of it. That's so great!
I don't see how this could be reasonably implemented. You can't put your IP address on the do-not-track list, because it could change day-to-day. You'd need a cookie in your browser saying you opted out. But that's as much information as if you hadn't opted out in the first place, they'd just have to toss the info after they got it.
User: "Hi, I don't want you to track the places I've visted." Marketer: "Ok." User: "Remember, I don't want you to track me, and I have just visted XYZ site." Marketer: "Ok, I'll forget."
Uh, would I be in contempt if the screensaver activated on its own? Heck, moving the mouse to prevent the screensaver would cause stuff to happen in the RAM.
I support that taxation is a form of organized robbery, but I can also understand it as a cooperative automatic donation system. The point at which it goes from one to the other is whether or not the two wolves and one sheep voted unanimously that you must pay one liver per bale of grass you aquire and eat. If it was unanimous, it is cooperative. If it is not, then it is legislated theft.
The economy is not constant as a whole, including the money system if the money is sound. Gold and silver are dug up and added to the supply just as more eggs are produced. Even so, if the money does not increase as fast as production, the price of eggs is going to go down relative the money. Thus, there is a deflationary pressure on the money, which is good for the savers of the world. (And particularly bad for borrowers.)
I think we may be near a point where we agree to disagree.
What's the point of the government taxing its people if it is law that we must accept the money for all debts and they have the ability to make as much of it as they wish?
They can take our wealth directly by taking dollars away from us or they can take our wealth away from us by devaluing the dollars we have.
I wouldn't call myself a conspiracy nut, I don't care if there is one or not; but if there is a conspiracy, that's bad. If there is not, then it is really bad. (Controlled disaster vs uncontrolled disaster.) In either case, the increasing money supply for the dollar is very bad and is obviously happening. We are destined for an economic disaster that will get the Great Depression renamed.
I've always wondered why great nations seemed to only last about 300 years, and what would save us from that milestone in our lifetime. I've worked it out to be that debased money drags a nation down and we won't be spared.
1) No, it has the value of the material costs put into it. 2) Yes, they're technically loans, but the lenders aren't forced to produce the hard cash and none of the banks force them to pony it up. 3) Taxes are a hold-over from when money was a commodity instead of faith. 4) The more money you make, the faster you need to spend it before it looses value. 5) Brazil had a few new pesos that had conversion rates like that. Zimbabwe had 1100% inflation last year. Imagine Wendy's Dollar menu turning into the $12 menu in the span of a year. This was caused simply because the government is printing ever more and bigger denominations of their fiat currency.
Buy real silver and real gold coins that you can hold. Our economy and currency are going to go belly up within the next few years. Especially if foreign governments stop taking our money into their bank hoards; and BTW, China just started "Diversifing" their trillions of US$ reserves.
Another side note, a Pre 1965 quarter has about $2.50 in silver content today. You can nearly buy a gallon of gasoline with one of those quarters.
As a programmer, I'm amused by both. 4 and 4.0 are equal by value but not in precision. 4 has one significant digit, while 4.0 has two. This is important because multiplying it by 1200 (which has two significant digits), yields two scientifically different answers. 4*1200 yields 5000 (5 x 10^3) while 4.0*1200 yields 4800 (4.8 x 10^3).
So, in the end, it depends, just like everything else.

Stop distributing those apps in the ROM!
Add an app to retrieve them from the original (backup) version of the phone.
SafeTex: Copying copyrighted textures from original Quake to custom commercial levels without incident. IE Don't distribute what's already there.

Why is the term "out-of-copyright" being used instead of "public domain"?
When a copyrighted work's copyright expires, it goes into the public domain, which means there are no restrictions upon the work at all.

It seems like the actual site failure was on the 23rd or so.

EasyDNS does have an API for "Dynamic" IP addresses.
Their clients are listed here: http://support.easydns.com/dyndns.php
