Dell Axiom Palm tops had IPV6 capabilities.. if I recall..
Let me dig one out of the "Freebie" bin at the thrift store and find out..
Stay here.. wait for me..
"this galaxy ripped a stream of dusty gas from a neighbour"
Gee, and I got ticked when my neighbour nicked my cooking gas canister for his Bar b q..
Black holes and all that.. tsk, tsk..
Right.. this universe of yours.. "It was a bit of a botch job, you know.." And what about the map of all the holes? Came in pretty handy.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Bandits
"But that's just the beginning, the orbiter will soon undergo four days of acoustics testing during which the spacecraft is placed near massive, multistory, wall-sized speakers that simulate the noise-induced vibrations of launch"
Sweet... sign me up, brother.. it'll bring the bong..
.. but when I see hack jobs like this I can applaud the user for trying but the crap workmanship is appalling. Gee, buy a decent soldering station..
Sorry, off my soapbox.
.. the tracking feature in your current cell phone? The nature of "Cells" enables device tracking.. Thats how it works..
Cells monitor and could record differential signal strength and plot your movements easily. Even with the tracking feature "disabled"
I; for one welcome....
Sigh,
Aggregating 2 or more 1 GIG adapters does not give you 2 GIG of throughput. It is a sliding scale; the more you add the less total bandwidth you see.
The safest bonding scheme uses LACP; Link Aggregation Control Protocol. This protocol communicates member state and load balancing request to the link member.
10G over copper will be a good thing for VM's. Sad; that the current crop of 10G over copper adapters do not approach 5 gig throughput; raw.
Give the industry time; this it just like the introduction of 1 GIG from fast Ethernet. It took 2 generations of ASICs to get to what we consider a GIG card today.
Possibly; the big 3 do deliver support tools on customer facing media. I would gander the following guess:
This is what you funk-tards get for outsourcing; keep it in house OR keep the Quality control persons on YOUR payroll. That way you can fire them when things run afoul.

"No, not if technology is advances enough to have Niven-style autodocs."
It would be possible if we were at that point where we had Autodocs that the state of the art would be good enough for a return trip; but I see your point. We probably have enough remote diagnostic sensing capability when matched with a team of doctors Houston-side that a device designed to automatically dispense medicine while the user was sleeping could be placed in ships manifest. It might be light and simple enough to replace a tradition medical case.
Staying healthy will be a challenge. Limited contact might not bode well for a single human many mile removed for society.
I do enjoy me solitary trips to the Big Bend of Texas; but I cannot imagine doing it "permanently" At least the desert animals would keep me company. Fat chance of sharing a meal with a Fox on Mars..
I hope they cut the marketing fluff and kept the brains.. (Braaaaainzzzz)
How about "Protector". There's a story with teeth... Please No more bad remakes \ sequels..

Listening to it now on audio book. Amazing how it plays out. Sending criminals into space did not work in the book
