These screen shots are for debugging plain and simple. All of the software I write which has a user interface has the ability to save screenshots at any point during execution so that I figure out what a user was doing that caused the program to crash. It saves about 100 screenshots and the starts erasing older ones as space gets filled.

I'm not sure how Apple uses these shots, if they do at all, but the ability to take screenshots is an invaluable tool for software debugging.

First, let me clarify, I only use iTunes for loading things onto my iPhone, not as a player because I believe the interface to be far inferior to other programs such as WinAMP or even WMP.

Also, I was comparing the software quality to RealPlayer, not necessarily the interface. At least I was actually able to install ReakPlayer back in the day. I am currently trying to install iTunes8 so I can update my phone firmware, but it goes into an infinite loop of install -> uninstall cycles. Been doing it for 30 minutes now and this is the 3rd time I've tried it. Fail.

If that's the case, explain to me why many apps on my iPhone, which runs a version of OS X, will very often cause a complete OS crash and a hard reboot of the device. I agree that Windows has problems, but they aren't the only ones.

I think you have it backwards, people who use iTunes 7, like myself, obviously do not think that it sucks. It's the people who are unfamiliar with iTunes that, for right or wrong, will blame Apple. Generally speaking of course.

And people who use iTunes like myself, realize what a horrible piece of shit it is. I dare say it is an even bigger pile of excrement than RealPlayer was. iTunes is by far the worst part about owning an iPhone, because I have no choice but to use it. Had I known about the evil that is iTunes on Windows, not to mention all of the many many firmware problems my iPhone has had, I never would have bought one in the first place.

By the way, I actually like OS X for the most part, but I can guarantee I will never buy another Apple product unless they do a total 180 on the quality of their support for non OS X users.

I'm pretty far from the stereotypical conservative American of which you speak, though I have however had many dealings with unions and union employees. My previous job was in the A/V industry. Whenever I did work in union heavy towns, I was required to have a union babysitter to make sure I wasn't trying to take away someones job by plugging a cable into a wall. Seriously. The biggest problem however would be when I was out of town and under deadline, I was not able to work overtime because my union babysitter was required to go home at the 5 o'clock bell. I say required because they were usually perfectly willing to stay late and help me, but couldn't because of the union regulations.

My point is, I've seen many a hard working union employee before being screwed over by the guy that wanders around the job site all day playing with himself, yet making the same amount of money as him. Unions did have a place in our society at one time, but for the most part we have out grown them.

When a persons position in a company is no longer affected by the quality of their work, there is no longer a great incentive to maintain that quality. Pride in your work only goes so far. Not to mention, do you have any idea how hard it is to fire someone that is in a union. The bureaucracy is astounding.

Not only that, but having watched the video, talk about a flamebait remark. The whole process REQUIRES "real" actors. They perform, are recorded and then the software analyses the video and allows the "animators" to transform the performance in various ways (replacing the human with a character for example). It's similar to motion capture only it doesn't require the performer to wear a suit or markers etc.

This technique requires real actors FACES. That face can then be transplanted onto any animated body which have already gotten very close to actual human realism. The point of this is to add another missing component to creating a fully realistic animation.

The truth is that if I was forced to smoke weed 5 times a day for the next month, I could then stop and never smoke it again. You know why?
