My chance to shamelessly promote my taskbar grouping idea:
Wouldn't it be a good compromise to group the documents/windows of any but the focused application? The buttons representing documents of the focused application should fill the taskbar from the (bottom) right. The grouped buttons repesenting unfocused application should fill the taskbar from the (top) left.
That way you won't get an unmanageable amount of taskbar buttons. And the documents of the focused application are always accessible with one mouse click. Having the grouped and ungrouped taskbar buttons fill the taskbar from different sides gives you a more precise idea where the button you want to access will be located. Also the buttons representing documents would tend to fill up the lower row, which is faster to access.
(I deny to patent these ideas, but I would like so else to implement it:)
Fx 0.9 is supposed to be feature complete. To get it out of the door along with Mozilla 1.7, the new components were rushed out without too much testing. The extension manager would go into an endless loop on various occasions.
I think the new version also fixes an (undisclosed) security problem. But the extension manager was quite broken, and I'm pretty sure this is the real reason.
Notice how the text is talking about decryption? I suspect they _meant_ breaking encryption. Why would you encrypt a signal if it's forbidden to decrypt it?
I've been waiting for this feature since before Mozilla 1.0 . Hopefully Firefox will also be able to start in a safe mode if an extension causes an error that keps it from starting.
I was able to ride a Swiss Flyer on a fair for special bikes. And personally, I liked it a lot. You just turn on the power assistance and ride it. There are no other controls.
When you accelerate or climb a slope, the drive kicks in. You're hardly aware of it. Instead it feels like you're uber- fit. And when you're up to speed, it just behaves like a normal bike.
The model I rode was a city bike. I could imagine to buy one for my mother when she doesn't feel fit enough to ride a normal one anymore.
A more sportsy version would be attractive to me. (I'm normally riding a good racing bike.)
This only proves you're educated. Only native speakers mix up similar sounding words. Other people tend to learn the spelling before the pronunciation.

AFAIK this kind of fridge is being used by street vendors in Africa. The outer "pot" is normally a wire basket and instead of sand they use coal, which gives a larger surface.
You read right. JavaScript has a prototype based system for objects. I seldom see this mentioned in language design discussions. Actually I like JavaScript and it's prototype system quite a lot. It's a nice and powerful little language. But that's likely only the case because I never needed to implement any cross-browser stuff in it.
What was missing from the prior event? Could it be breaking and entering, trespassing, and vandalism?
Possibly. But the protesters seen on the videos were peaceful. It's not appropriate to shoot at them because of what someone else may have done.
Rubber bullets and flash bangs against an unruly mob...
The attacked people were not an unruly mob, but peaceful protestors. Again - if someone else wasn't peaceful, it's no reason to shoot at these people.
And they were shot with 'less lethal' weapons. Called like that because they are less likely to be lethal. But they can be. Quite a few people have lost their eyesight to wooden bullets, rubber bullets and marking guns. Several people have also lost their hands when confusing stun grenades with tear gas grenades and trying to throw them back.
The Smart Fortwo cars are great when it's hard to find a place for parking.
If you're looking for a fuel efficient car, you may also want to have a look at the VW Lupo 3L TDI, which seats four and only uses 3 litres per 100 km.
A mistake that many electric car designers have made over the years is to fail to recognize that the electric car is not simply an internal combustion engined car with the engine replaced by an electric motor.
I'd say the designers are pretty well aware of this. However the budgets aren't infinite, and they're trying to make use of existing technology and parts as much as possible.
Only GM has created a fuel cell powered concept car from the ground up. This seems to be a nice article about the skateboard concept.
And then while we're too busy in the courtrooms to notice, and our production skills so atrophied from lack of use, the aliens will land and take over.
Or the Chinese. Or people in India or Africa or whatever. As long as they're not selling directly to countries with "strong IP protection".
Finally, even assuming that SCO does own the copyrights, they still have yet to prove that any of their code is in Linux. That's what the IBM lawsuit is all about.
No. It's not. The case is about whether IBM has the legal right to integrate their own code into Linux.

So it isn't legal to lend a CD anymore?

Well - then I'm waiting for the first worm that ;-)
installs DRM as well as a backdoor and cannot
be legally removed.
All WLAN hotspots have to be unprotected.
No more https servers to set up.
We can get rid of "copy protected" CDs and DVDs.
And finally we can sue the NSA.

All installed extensions get disabled. But you can still install them anew.
You'll do this at you own risk, but removing the whole Extension folder inside the Profile folder seems to reliably remove all extensions.
A programmable device with at least three degrees of freedom (3DOF).
Unless, of course, they have a backdoor to your or the receivers machine.
but as it was we lost 58000 people
Wow. I'm totally speechless. Is that the number that stayed in the American mind?
Nearly for million people were killed in Vietnam.
As a sidenote:
The winner of the Shell Eco-Marathon got as far as 3410 km on one liter of petrol. Thats more than 8000 miles per gallon.
Cars can be a lot more efficient, but there would have to be compromises in speed, comfort and safety.

Read this several years ago.
If I'm not mistaken, its pretty darned hard to patent facts - the only exception I know of is the patenting of genome sequences.
But you can have the copyright on databases - collections of facts.
I think it's true for the EU and that the US also recently introduced it.

Trust me. You're safe. Hold your marches.
A look at the videos linked on this page will change your opinion.
The problem with the Skateboard concept is the components to make it work do not exist at this time.
Have a look at the article I linked above. It looks like they actually built a prototype. But they had to accept some compromises.

Lexus RX 400h
