  1. Random? on Google's Android Cellphone SDK Released · · Score: 1

So does an ad pop up every time I make an OpenGL call? Every X calls? Every 5 minutes? 30 minute video before I can make a phone call?

Lets not pretend Google isn't an ad company. If it doesn't push ads, they wouldn't do it. We already know from their announcements they will use voice recognition to figure out what ads to push.

Sorry Google, but F' you and your little ads too.

  7. Re:just one new feature on Google Vows to Increase Gmail Limit · · Score: 5, Funny

It takes at least 5,001 engineers to figure out how to delete attachments, and Google only has 5,000. So it's really just beyond them to figure it out. It's not like the code to do that is just laying around in a dozen open source packages or anything.

I've known dozens of people what "worked" at Google, and they all say it's just one big party. The only people that work are the low-paid ad sales crew - the ones responsible for 99.9% of last quarter's revenue.

If it doesn't sell ads, noone works on it.

Study after study shows the Facebook demographic completely ignores ads, doesn't even realize they are there, or even run adblock plus.

That means Facebook is worth almost nothing. The advertisers haven't caught on yet tho, they aren't exactly the type that real research studies ;)

If you use open source software, then you have no issues of any kind. If you are a company writing/selling software, treat other people's open source like nuclear waste, and have your users download the prerequisites themselves.

This is so very simple that we need at least 1000 more open source licenses, otherwise people will see how easy it is, and stop hiring lawyers.
