There's a lot of money to be made in gambling and porn, so why not allow those customers, or complete the needed regulatory thingimagigs to allow them to act as a payment system for those industries.
I bet a lot more people would be willing to pay via paypal for pon than handing over there credit card details.
Bioware arn't doing NWN2, it's Obsidian under licence from Atari/WotC. Furthur, theve already decided to go the D3D route over OpenGL 2, beause at the time they decided, OpenGL2 wasn't published and tools/support won't really be around for a while I would imagine.

Well, I only went with blue because it's the same as the rest of the theme, though technically it should probably be all the colors of the olympic rings, as around the world diferent colors have diferent meanings, red is generally in europe the color of socalism, but I think blue is socalist in japan...
The logo really should be changed, *sigh* it's a problem americans forget about the rest of the world existing, or asume were instantly like them and won't mind.
Personally my coice would be a blank color, something which doesn't show any political or national orientation, though it is a good reminder of the flag, to which americans swear aligence and to what that flag stands for, freedom, justice, persuit of happyness.... so spit on your goverment, while still being a patriot:)
You can buy external ones, which lead to grose abuses of technology: http://ohlssonvox.8k.com/fdd_raid.htm
But what I want is an internal one (ideally with both a cable to attach it internally and externally with not much more than a metal slide-case to put around it).

The majority of cameras in the UK are not monitored and privately owned, there is legislation that anyone who is recorded on camera can for a limited price get the person who took the recording of them to hand a copy to them as well.
Though there are a limited number of monitored police camreas in city centers and other areas which have been useful, and the best argument for them was made by the police themselves, as several police men were caught on camera kicking a man on the ground.
Nice to know that when big brother is watching it's also watching its own.

ATI Helped open-source driver development where Nvidia just gave out binaries, ATI got praise for there stance but everyone bought nvidia because they couln't run quake3 on the ATI boards under linux, so ATI reliese a binary like nvidia, and we decide to slam ATI for it?
As far as I can work out, ATI are being a lot more open-source friendly than nvidia are. And in this day of licenced patented tech being used in drivers to allow any form of advanced graphics, there not really to blame.
Please moan about software patents.

It's even harder to say if he's legal or not since commission to songwriters is normally paid as a percentage of sale price, and 5% odd of nothing is nothing.
Could the song author set a minimum sale price to force his commission?

Washing away everyone elses argument, the author states that no licence was provided with the patches, and asumes them to be licence-free, thus he can re-licence the whole package and put it out as shareware.
This is totally and utterly false, these patches are derivitive works of a GPL source, ergo they must be covered by the GPL and thus all patches ever made to the X-Chat project are GPL, and all patches ever made by anyone else to the project without written persmission otherwise must not be used.
We can't go past c, but it'd be nice to push a bit closer to it, most cables operate at 50% to 75% of c, but I'm sure most of the latency on my ADSL line is due to traversing BT's ATM network before it gets to my ISP where it's then connected to the various internet backbones and LINX (ISP-ISP links).
We need a much faster switching system, ideally all the switching decisions should be made before the packet ever gets to the switch while inside long-haul carriers, while the global network needs to be improved coverage wise, Asia is comming up in the internet world but dispite fast local links there's a relative lack of decent global connections and conections between the various islands of high technology dotted around.
I agree, it was at one extream and now it's at another, there's so little flexibility that teachers are just going by the book (exactly to the book, you cover 100% of what might come up in the exam and nothing outside of what might be in the exam).
There's got to be a happy medium somewhere, I know my senior school only managed to fit in the X hours of each subject per-week, by making one week last 10 days:)
Though not a major factor in everyones lives, I'd personally like to see the latency dealt with as well, things may be getting faster but it seems latency is largely ignored, there's not much hope for global telecommuiting if they don't address the latency as well *mumbles about that 10ms lag on adsl lines*
