What really buggs me is not that cheap phones get useless features.
It's that they don't get the useful ones!

I want a phone that has a good adressbook and a calendar that you can sync with your computer.
    That is my *only* requirement.
The expensive models has had this for several years, I got hooked on this when I had my nokia 6210 4-5 years ago.
If all you want is games, colourscreen, java, polyphonic signals, bluetooth, camera, etc, you can go for the cheap models, but good and syncable adressbooks and calendars are still reserved for the upper-midrange to expensive models. =(

The DV-camera is no problem, just get a firewireport in the computer and you're there...
Or you could get the ps2-linux kit and use the fw-port in the ps2, but that would probably be more expensive.
But the ps2 really should be connected directly to the monitor with one of those ps2->vga adapters.
Then you'll get really good videoquality for the games, etc.
Going through a tv-tuner and then to the monitor will be a *major* setback in quality...

If games had been the driving factor in the 80's, as it is today, I wonder what would have happened. :/
The PC was really lousy at graphics and sound until around 91 - 92... Unless you spent hysterical amounts of money.
But back then computers with, by those days standards, powerful graphics and sound was seen as toys because you could play games on them.
Hmm... But the PC might have come out on top anyway, since it was the only open platform.

That said, I always try to find a theatre that's showing the original dub when I'm going to the movies myself, and I choose the original dub when watching dvd...
I was really glad that when Spirited away went up here in Sweden, it was the original japanese dub with subtitles. I wish that they would have done at least a *few* showings with a Swedish dub so that my brothers children could have watched it too, though. And all my anime dvd's are English and Japanese only, so that's no use either.

Even though there are lots of anime that's not appropriate for a very young audience, most of what's produced is targeted towards people who would have a hard time understanding subtitled ones.
