    I think you missed the concern about all the stuff that just gets spewed into the atmosphere there. Here, we have to [expensively] scrub our stacks.

    We just moved our cheap manufactured goods center "elsewhere" and are now worried that the pollution isn't contained out of sight. It might come back over here! The horror! The GOODS are supposed to come here. The REPERCUSSIONS are supposed to stay there.

    Actually, just having ONE complete implementation would sink OOXML, as MS Office doesn't even follow the standard as it was passed. That's right, there isn't a single office suite capable of reading/writing the ISO standard. Sam

    Wind power pumps water into the reservoir, then, water is released on demand to spin turbines. From the wiki:

    "The four water turbines at the power station can generate 360 MW of electricity within 60 seconds of the need arising."

    Alternately, compressed air can be used:

    I don't know that this company is actually abusing patent law. It seems like they have an actual invention (a type of keyboard + software that makes it easier to type in "weird" characters). The article even clearly points out that they have a product with this feature they sell.

    Is that a patent troll? Doesn't sound like it.

    I'm not sure about their choice of targets or especially their heavyhanded response to a charity organization though. I can only see this gaining them significant negative publicity and potentially torpedoing a good project.
