It seems to me the way to preserve information for the future is to keep it active...
Any and all information is of intrest to someone... as long as people are continually able to access it it will be continually upgraded to the newer formats has hardware and software change...
Well... this assumes a lots of things that probably aren't possible in real life....:-D
Wireless Transceiver
Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth is supported for use with your Microsoft Bluetooth devices. Because Bluetooth wireless technology follows a standardized specification, you may be able to use other devices with the Microsoft Wireless Transceiver.
This is probably more of a "Desktop Enviroment" more then just a GUI idea, but I'd like to see something where basic functions (in the internet age) are built in.
As in you don't "open" an program to check your email but it's constantly open, checking mail and alerting you of new mail.
Bah! I just don't know how to put this into words properly....
*) Fresco is device independent. So changing the screen resolution will not make windows smaller and you can print everything you can display on screen. That's a good thing (if you want your windows to become smaller you adjust their zoom factor).
That's just cool. But is the zoom factor for the whole desktop or individual programs? Being able to scale a spreadsheet to see more of it while keeping Word Processing normal would be nice.:)
iD GPL's the source for it's Engine, not the game. The levels, textures, models, even (I believe) the actual game code that says what a rocket launcher does, and etc. are still firmly in the hands of Carmack and all.
I think theres a group duplicating the original quakes textures and such with "GPL like" replacements.
Um.. if you look at "7" and "5" on the phone they're the only buttons raised up, in red and have a circle around the numbers so I'm guessing that they're the actual "buttons" for the games, not the rest of the keypad...
Still got my point tho', didn't ya? ;)
On the other hand, we have a standard for english grammer and not too many around here follow it. (Well, not me at least. :)
:-)
But the message is usually rendered correctly.
That rocks!
My girlfriend's parents house is on a pathway and every year they have problems with this...
One year they actually cut the wires! In seveal places...
I would *love* to give those little brats a really good jolt...
I wonder if anything like this was looked at for low cost Mars explorers.... Drop a few at random places and just let them explore...
Tho maybe that wouldn't be of any benefit anymore...

Maybe?
What kind of standard is that?
Oh, of course it's fake, I'd just like to know who and why someone would do this. :)
Not that I believe it, but I wouldn't mind knowing the history behind the video at MoonTruth.Com...
If they can ever get a good enough image....
...that would make a kick ass poster.
:)

No offense, but you're opening yourself up to all sorts of "Half of nothing is still nothing" jokes.
One was recorded in metric time. ;)
Wouldn't that mean there should be a "impact point" where it hit?
:)
Something that we'd be able to see?
Then again, what the hell do I know?
What the hell is "wogs"???
Like many derogatory words, it seems to be how it's used. And in the books it's usually used in a derogatory sense.
:)
But to me, it doesn't matter much.
Then you probably didn't go out last year... I went outside my apartment for about 45 min's last year and I saw 70+... some were brights ones as well.
Don't give up!
....yet I feel it's an important point.

I can see you point, but I think the Genie is out of the bottle here... if P2P where to "go away" other options would be created...
:)
But then again, what the hell do I know?
I'm not sure about that... If it wasn't distributed by P2P it would be distributed by something else...
I don't think P2P is any more to blame then anything else, it's just faster.
Guy I know, knows someone in his class who's on a workterm at Corel...
:)
Turns out that as of noon today he was the only one left on his *floor* that still had a job.
*Everyone* he knew at Corel was laid off today.
He's not quite sure what he's going to do tomorrow.
Speaking of headphones, where the hell do they plug in on this thing?
Um.. how about making the top of the key like a lens which would bend the image to more angles?
Or for that matter helping people with choices.. "Y" or "N" flashing on the keyboard when you have a yes or no decision.
There's probably lots of stuff you could do with an animated keyboard....
