They may have fueled the NASA rockets before crew arrival, but didn't they top them off continuously up until just a couple of minutes before flight? Is it safer if they only put in a little LOX, or a lot of LOX? Degrees of risk...
Rendezvous radar, intentionally left on, was overloading the computer. The radar would have been needed for an abort, so the irony of the radar causing the dreaded abort was very real.
Heavy lift for the Saturn V was: ~90,000 lbs of end-payload, for a trip to the moon. This new thing is 200,000 lbs or payload, so more than twice the heavy lift capacity of the biggest rocket the U.S. ever made, unless they break it up into smaller component launches. I want to be there when that rocket launches, albeit at a safe distance!

When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth, by Cory Doctorow. It has an interesting take on the chaos of something catastrophic happening, and the human condition. That's as far as I can go without spoilers...
Six months ago Windows 10 ate my SSD array. Totally creamed it, with no recovery possible. Glad to see they're making progress on the issue, he said tongue-in-cheek.
They have altered the deal. Pray they do not alter it further. There will come a tipping point, where eventually customers start to complain or bolt. We're not quite there yet.

The real irony is that if you go to his website and read the essay, there is a share button at the bottom to link the essay to FaceBook, Twitter, et al.
MI-5 and by cooperation the NSA, were doing this in the 1950's, looking for local oscillators in HF radios. They were basically hunting down Soviet spies. They used airplanes and vans. What's happening today is not a new idea, just updated with better technologies. link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
It will be interesting to watch if phone manufacturers use this to spur better encryption and security in next generation phones. Or will public opinion and government meddling make it go the other way..

That's what the Jews said in the 1930's. It always starts out with 'registration'. And no, I'm not trying to troll anyone. If I was I'd post AC.
Would having a large tower with a big bubble of charged ions at the top attract lightning? Because that could be cool
Bob Kelso? But seriously, never look at car prices after you've bought a car, and avoid SlashDot after buying tech gear.
Well, Mission Control will look very spiffy and smart in their blue berets. No more silly vests! It's time to move forward!

Toral: The Duras family will one day rule the Empire! Gowron: Perhaps. But not today.

Could somebody model this in Sim City, let it run for about 20 years in sim-time, and get back to us with hard data?

Never attribute to malice that which may be explained by incompetence. (it's usually the latter)
I'm hoping the curved screen matches the curve of my butt, then it will fit in my back pocket without distraction.
Curly Bill Brosis said it best: "Well, Bye".
Why not an inflatable pig cell hub? At a concert. It might be just the incentive needed to get Pink Floyd back together again.

I have it on good authority, if you put Google into the Google browser, you can break the internet.
So, the banner ad at the top of Slashdot is an ad for IBM, with Princess Leia. Awkward.
To accept any level of liability is tantamount to an admission of guilt. Don't hold your breath.
