    This T2 chip raises all kinds of security and thirt party OS support concerns here, After all the Intel ME and other backdoor stuff we need less hidden System Management Controler state and attack surface, not more. Especially in such consumer devices where not many use any extra functionality added by those.

  6. it also feels to me that Google became worse, often when I look for open source stuff, build errors, errors, patches (for #t2sde https://t2sde.org/ I do not find much anymore, a decade ago I usually found hits on mailing lists, bug trackers, etc. Maybe Google focused more on gossip and social drama, then actual hard facts :-/

    Nothing user serviceable, everything glued together, good luck with a battery swap in two years, ..! Also the N-trig touch screens are know for phantom touches and dead zones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?... I got the Pro 2 and 3 and will not buy another one. Also the kickstand tablet form factor does not work the best for me, not in air planes, nor in an armchair.

  14. NOT. Also, who would want to use this latest low quality strangely designed and glued Apple devices? Even the 1st magic mouse I did not like due to being too heart w/ batteries, and having sharp aluminium edges that scratched my fingers, ..!

    it is of course ridiculous that Apple sells the better, dual physical SIM model in China only! That eye openly ugly Apple has become to thread the rest of the world customers like this. So instead of the simplicity of inserting a local SIM we should go thru the pain and discussions and management overhead and DRM of eSIM?
