I'm not going to subscribe to any software. If I want to use it I buy it. If I use it regularly I will update, if not than I'm fine using years, if not decade old software. Simple as that.
what helps ultra thin and glass fluff when you need to make it thicker and ugly with a case? Better get a real phone, that is less fragile, and use the extra mm for prolonged battery life,..!
I have similar projects ongoing, e.g. 40MHz SPARCstation 2, 16 MB RAM: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bd...
I wonder about the 486 boot time, the vintage SPARC needs a minute or two to text login. maybe theirs include X,... or systemd,... Video and such next: https://youtube.com/renerebe
designing overcomplicated systems that are unmaintainable spaghetti code and get back to "keep it stupid simple" and things that just work, and not try to right the user,...
Exactly what I was thinking. Could be used for an Open Source hypervisor at the base of the very system. Maybe it could even make Qemu/KVM details more efficient,... Could be a auxiliary, deep sleep co-processor for your Un*x OS,...;_)
Each and every recent Intel Core-i with ME can have a very hidden key logger running in the ME the whole day, and even sending them out on the NIC. Say NO to hidden "security" backdoor processors, and "military grade" *lol* trust zones,....
There is a reason we do not have have packaged it in #t2sde: https://t2sde.org/, our various init script and systems work since 1998 or so. No need to hijack the boot process with another emacs like complex operating system that is systemd. One days it replaces the whole Linux kernel;-)
This overcomplicated hidden layer of bullshit is exactly what we did not want to maintain and analyse in Windows systems, and there is no good reason why one would such crap on Linux.
Since Trump's election I intentionally avoid al business (or holiday) travel to the US. At least we Europeans got to vote with our wallet. No need to support corrupt politicians, and their hateful followers. Many other pretty places in the world to visit and make friends.
yeah exactly, finally at least some consumers are getting that. We really need to start producing better products, and not this planned obsolescence cloud spying nonsense that stoops working in a year or two anyways,...
yep, and I'm ready for this or AMD Rzyen mobile. This sub-par Intel graphics really is a PITA for professional work on the road.

No matter what, if the virtual assistant Siri, or the Calendar is crashing (sigh), it should not crash and reboot the "whole" OS. Must be really crappy, insecure integration if something as "simple" as this causes a reboot! #peakbugs https://youtube.com/renerebe

It's disgusting how this multi billion dollar companies behave.
yeah, wanted to write exactly the same. I expect zero, yes 0, null, nil, absolute no unexploded reboots from my CPU, ..!
so I do not need to worry about Intel's f*ckups anymore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?... ;-)
Works everywhere, even on old reel-to-reel and such, also easier to repair / solder on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
and dump down and learn noting early on.
For my new, raw tech channel: http://youtube.com/renerebe anyone? ;-)
After all they are the new norm, and despite various attempts not yet that "smart" after all,
with higher SSD i/o load it can easily reach 50%, and on pre-Haswell or so CPUs it can also be more, well done. get an AMD today ;-)
Seriously, do this companies not have any serious business to attend?
