Yes, it does matter, cause bringing forth the attention to one place will hopefully spark news and other places will be watched more closely. Saying it's a lost cause because "all of them" must (your opinion) be doing it, and then giving up only adds to the problem.

You are just as guilty by watching it and letting it happen without reporting it. Seriously, how fscking old are you?

The TF2 characters would only be the cartoony humor icing for the cake, since I find only small bits of humor in L4D opposed to TF2. Granted, L4D hasn't been out nearly as long, and could have some humor improvements that TF2 has been having (like the scout's domination sounds they added the past month)

Or would you prefer to wait 2 years for all the classes to be released? Perhaps if you played the game without complaining you would realize that they have far more future plans after the class updates with even more additional weapons. Sure the fact you have to unlock the weapons is wrong. But releasing class improvements 1 at a time is more fun, and creates a "special" look at the class (hell, few were playing medic, 1-2 if you were lucky, until the update came out, then everyone went medic and it started to kick ass)

Funny, for me it's been reversed. Eventually I found out you can tell the truth but use qualifier words that protect you, or quite possibly add additional information to the situation.

Very few people apparently know that "I might have signed that memo" and "I did sign that memo" are 2 different statements. 1 leads to a definitive answer holding you accountable, the other leads to a "we could prove it, but we really can't without plenty of resources", which leads to: I'm too lazy, I won't research it. This is the correct answer, the md5 will be the hashed portion WITHOUT the ID header/trailer tags. Open up one of your mp3s to notice that header/trailer information can easily be changed. Chances are it could very well pull a Youtube tech and look at the first 30 seconds of a song file (or try and treat all files as song files). Get marked for evaluation later. In which case, you would want to alter quite a bit of bits throughout the song, but with modern recognition nowadays, that may not even work.

Best solution: encrypt the drive. What you do on your computer is your own business. As long as you haven't been bringing down banks, launching nukes, or any other large scale problems. It was once stated your rights end when your fist touches my nose. Last I checked you haven't been hurting people by reading bits off a hard drive, and you sure as hell aren't profiting from it (although RIAA sure as fuck wants to).

Sure, it's nice they try to keep the game balanced over time, but after a while it's like "how are they changing the gameplay this time? what are they going to nerf?" Too many of one character (or too many victories from one class) to them means it's overpowered and needs adjustment, because it's not a 50/50 split.

Yep... all games have bugs, and if the game is like any MMO, it will need updates and almost every update causes bugs no matter how well tested in beta. Need proof? Play other games sometime. Find the bug that gives you the edge, or allows you to dupe. But hey, they control their economy, so if they don't like you pulling in millions (legit or not) or just hate you swearing in their game/you owning them at their own game/etc. They could flip a switch and bankrupt you - literally.

But even if they somehow don't have bugs, their update will release some new mechanic that will screw with the economy anyways. You could literally go from having an awesome high priced item selling for millions, to having a worthless piece of trash replaced by a quest item; just because you went on vacation for a week during the update.

No offense to you, but the idea of a game economy mixed with real life is retarded. This has been discussed before, and the consensus was about 50/50, along with the idea that a few owners of the company could literally squander player's real life money away from them *cough* "superman bug" style.
