Quality is purely in the eye of the beholder, and depends on one's perspective at the moment one is judging anyway. If I want a movie with deep plot and themes, then you're right. Transformers is a lower quality work. On the other hand, sometimes I want to watch robots blowing each other up. In that case, Transformers is an extremely high quality work.
And I'll mock them just for kicks when ever I feel like it.
We have a term for that, it turns out. It's called "being a childish asshole". I disagree with many people about various beliefs, some passionately. Guess what? I manage to do so whilst remaining respectful towards them.
You know, when people ask to get the FSM taught in schools, I understand it. They're trying to make a point about everyone not having to learn one sect's beliefs. This guy has no point, however. How does it affect anyone other than those who want to wear religious headgear in their photo, if they are allowed to do so? It doesn't. This dude is just making an ass of himself for no reason.
It must be shocking to hear, but not everyone knows about the same topics as you, even if they are educated well in other areas. I'm going to say this only once, and say it very clearly. Fuck off with your snobbery, you stupid prick.
It's like this. I work to enable me to enjoy the rest of my life, not for its own sake. If my life is really shitty as a result of my job, then I might be better off without it.
This is one of those things that happens because we allow it. If IT employees were willing, across the board, to demand proper respect and consideration from their employer, then there would be no problem. Until we stop cowering in fear of losing our jobs, we're going to be screwed unless we happen to get lucky and have a nice manager.
iirc, Team Bondi wasn't owned by Rockstar when they began development on LA Noire. Perhaps by the time they came to be a part of Rockstar, they already had the engine complete and didn't need the now-accessible GTA engine?
TFA makes it clear what happened: he didn't replace a presentation with porn on the way out, he actually used his old logins after the fact to control the computer during a presentation and bring up porn. So not exactly hacking, but also pretty clearly illegal.
I'm not trying to debate the relative qualities of ebooks and paper books. I'm simply saying that lack of young people with paper books does not imply young people are switching to ebooks.
Um, the point is simply observing that my peers don't generally seem to be invested in learning or reading. So they aren't (typically) consuming books, paper or digital. I think you might be looking for deeper meaning where there was never meant to be any.
I don't know that there was. I certainly wasn't trying to imply as much, so I apologize if you understood me to mean that. I'm simply saying that it isn't the case with my peers.

does the NCAA consider them their slaves?
This seems relevant.
Of course changes != LoC. You'd have to make a hell of a lot of changes in order to make one Library of Congress' worth.

No, it's ruled by civility. If you really do think the way you say, then you're an asshat.
It's not ludicrous, it's courteous. It doesn't cost anything to show some damn respect for others' beliefs, even if you disagree.

That's a recreation of the Milgram experiment, not really the Stanford one.

Look, man. You can fight biology all you want, but that doesn't make it true. You are either male or female. There isn't another option.
Click on the "get more information" link in the invite, that seems to take you to the setup page even though the email says they're at capacity.
Sent you an invite, should be there shortly.
Sent your way.
I find it highly ironic that someone named "Nynaeve70" is grumpy about something. :P
Also, as others have said... post your email and you can get an invite, no prob.

Windows runs the apps I use, and doesn't get in my way. I don't know what more I could ask of an OS, to be honest.
It's worth paying money to get rid of Lotus Notes. Getting money back for getting rid of Lotus Notes? That's like some kind of dream.
I've never used their service, but I do know that I refuse to support any business whose advertising is as dumb and pandering as theirs.

And we instead provided no incentive to improve, ensuring that the pain isn't gone, merely delayed. That's such a commendable outcome!

I think that's a whoosh. But maybe he's serious, you never know with audiophiles...
