During general use (web browsing, chatting, online java games like settlers of catan, etc) it uses around 40-45Watts.
This is switching from a PC that used between 110-120watts for the same thing.
You can save a lot if you shop smart.
The best part is I spent under $500 on the whole machine. The other best part is machines that efficient are also completely silent without spending big money on super silent fans. I am using stock cooling on it.
As far as I know sellers right now have the option to reply to feedback. Explaining themselves/their side, etc.
Suggestions:
This should maybe be upgraded to a more robust contest system where a moderator has the option to mark it as null after it has been addressed. Best case would be the person who left the feedback gets to reverse it, but that doesn't happen if the feed back leaver is an idiot.
Take a look at how the www.bbb.org works. You can file a complaint. The seller/merchant is expected to respond to the complaint. After their response/action the complaint is listed as resolved and they still have a good rating.
A robust system to report bad buyers. Have it reviewed, and have it show up on their account in a separate area.
They actually are LOWERING listing fees if you would take a look.

They also have the option to report bad buyers.
I think you are over reacting.
you clearly are one of the 100+ people who failed to read the summary let alone the article.
And somehow you got modded up.
Please take note that the summary says Sellers are unable to leave feedback for Buyers. Buyers can definitely leave feedback for sellers still.
This is what the feedback explanation system is for. Publicly replying to feedback to explain it.
Think of the BBB (www.bbb.org). People file complaints with businesses. Theses business NEVER file complaints back at the buyer.
But there are businesses with some complaints that still have an A rating because they satisfactorily replied to all complaints.
Where did you get "stop all negative feedback" from??? They are stopping feedback from sellers to buyers. Buyers can still leave negative feedback on sellers.
I have had much better luck with Dell business (gold) support than any other company I have ever dealt with (All of them!).
Buying Dell machines through the small business department (meaning the Latitude notebooks). Makes worlds of difference vs buying a "craptop" bottom line inspiron.
your right that the employees are not on commission. But, management definitely makes bonuses based on low return numbers...etc. Anything that has to be written off as a 100% loss is an ouch for their nice bonus.
Personally, I agree that the "iGoogle" page is kind of a silly renaming. But no where near as bad as their choice to change "Froogle" to "Google Product Search (beta)." Why take something successful with a cool name and shoot it in the foot like that?
While I agree with your general opinion on the subject I do have to play devils advocate and say that that isnt true everywhere. New England has plenty of days in late summer when it is overcast and extremely humid. People run the AC on dry atleast if not cold settings to keep the place temperate.
I'm slightly surprised that the mainstream hasn't yet given up on the idea of maximizing a window to the full screen, and provided some concept of zones, so you can lock a window to fill exactly the left or right half of your monitor, say. Such a viewable area is far more useful on the sort of physical sizes and resolutions that are seen for high-end screens today, for everything from web browsing to editing documents
I know this isnt the main stream that you or I are probably used to (or wants to associate with), but AOL's newest (free) platform for broadband (aol openride I think it is called) users does pretty much that. It breaks the screen in to 4 parts, Web browser, email, buddy list, multimedia/file browser.
You are correct that Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis were long gone by the time kazaa started to include spyware.
I would like to point out that you are rather wrong that they are long gone from Skype. They are in fact CEO and executive vice president of innovation respectively. They are still very much in charge or Skype. Yes it is owned by ebay which of course changes the way its being handled, but they are still the tag team behind it.
Would the YANNP you are referring to be to be The Venice Project (aka - JOOST). What do you think of it?
I did this on my most recent system.

My mother actually offered to buy me this T-Shirt for x-mas: http://www.stickergiant.com/Merchant2/imgs/450/b8014_450.jpeg

read the article please. They did not remove the option to leave feedback for sellers. they are removing the feedback from sellers to buyers.
I am amazed this hasn't been referenced yet. http://xkcd.com/325/

This is highly dependent on what Dell you buy.

what the hell were we thinking?
Two of the guys running SunEthanol (the Biofuel bug company mentioned in the article) are the owners of my company.
Boss hits slashdot, fun.

Yes, but you try to open an MP3 and it immediately asks "hey do you want codecs so you can play these?"
You click yes, it does some quick downloads for you and off you go.
Seems painless to me. I would rather "pay" a few seconds of my time than $$ for bundling it the OS.
unlocking firefox is great. But foxit will actually open PDFs ^_^ (and faster)

Congratulations, you sell buggy whips and your wondering why no one buys them.
What I want to know is why Outlook Express works better with IMAP than Outlook does.
Go figure...
Not everyone got the name true. But they had that fun definition on the site for people that didnt get it. I thought that was fun.
