    Half the web developers out there can't even prevent simple cross site scripting let alone the dozens of other common threats that exist in web development.

    The other half (=using pre-HTML5) cannot either. CORS is an improvement upon JSONP, simple script insertion, available in browsers right now.

    I truly wish someone would rewrite X from the ground up with some new ideas on how to do the network transparency.

    I truly wish the network transparency feature would be left out of this equation for once.
    When I start this X thing, just use the balanced resolution/timings/colors like win2000/xp over 12 years ago did without any tweaking, proper gl support, even egl, plugin monitor support, dual anything, video, acceptable latency, suspending and ONE default theme.
    Please, make the mistake to put it in the Linux kernel and get this thing FIXED.

    Hi, Is this the reason the system locks up when deleting large numbers of files (near the default max inode for a directory, debian squeeze)? Writing large amounts of data (larger than the files combined) is non-blocking.

    Over inflating tires is dangerous... If you over inflate, the tire might not blow, but your stopping distance when having to do an emergency stop, will increase dramatically

    Obviously, it's far more efficient to not brake at all under any circumstance.
    Once you have accepted this superior way of driving, like I have, you can increase efficiency by doing away with dead weight like brake discs, pads, fluids and pedal.

    As for tires, I recommend cheap Chinese tires made of constable wallops rubber to improve mileage.

    . QNX figured out how to minimize these overheards. I can be done.

    QNX optimizes asynchronous message passing.
    It does not and will not ever do away with the context switching (performance) disadvantage compared to monolithic kernels, cause it's the flipside of the modularity/security/stability coin.
