Tools shipped with OS-X were pretty and comfortable, but troublesome after upgrades (e.g. laptop Snow Leopard with 10.4/10.5 server).
In any case, cli is just fine, and most importantly, bash and major sysutils haven't *changed* rigorously over 10 years.
With Gui utils, it's always the latest trend in UI whizzbang that takes up worthless time trying to figure out whether this simple and once in a year task is actually accomplished by pressing a newfangled button with ribbonized toolbars and tooltips in the newer version of the same app.

I know where to find it, but I won't be compiling or packaging any gnome 2 + dependencies + vfs crap for the next release of a distro that moved to Gnome 3.
I seriously hope debian is not out of its mind and includes it in the next release (Whiner), 'cause I will fucktard all of my patches over the years with a non-GPL license (actually only one made it, but i like to brag and Gnome 3 really sucks).
I'll ditch gnome for the next couple of centuries, because I got work to do on my work pc. I don't want to fuck around with a gadget nor waste my time trying to grasp this years hallucinations of the gnome developers.

Your statement holds as long as there no accidents and waste can be disposed out of sight. Regarding the safety and cleanliness there are some questions you need to answer:
    • Why does no insurance company cover?
    • Why are installations always located near the border of a country?
    • Why are said very safe mines for disposal proven not to be safe?
    • How is it possible to call something clean and safe when there is no actual, complete and sound prospect on the consequences of any major nuclear accident?

Safe is something or someone, when left alone, does not do havoc nor harm. Anything requiring multiple levels of safeguards, backup systems and constant monitoring is by definition not safe. And nuclear waste is by definition not clean.

  18. Re:Seal it and shut it down... on Nuclear Risk Expert: Fukushima Fuel May Be Leaking · · Score: 1
I agree there's not much left. But the lethargic attitude of pro-nuclear experts lately has shown the proper mind-set for nuclear energy isn't here anymore. Every company or government covers up problems with nuclear reactors; look at history, each problem has been hushed or downplayed until there was no way denying.

The community and future communities have and will pay the bill for any accidents and waste in money and natural environment. Companies divert responsibility, governments depend on the community.

Besides, you completely disregard the casualties of nuclear waste, the enormous problems storing nuclear waste (hello Germany) and not to mention the cost of nuclear facilities, which is far beyond breaking even. A nuclear facility is proven to be a terrible investment and an economically bad choice. Say, let's not make nuclear power the only solution and final consequence.
