    What if Linux or some other significant FOSS project that is essential for a complete handheld system embraces GPLv3? GNU/Linux seems to be the best choice for these subnotebooks, I think XP isn't an option for their underpowered hardware.

    Oh, c'mon. Hurd actually runs real programs on real hardware, from a real live cd, or with crosshurd from a real debian system. You can boot it, touch it, taste it, crash it and help developing it. Sure, $X still has no drivers, $Y is unstable and $Z won't even compile, but calling Hurd vaporware is an exaggeration.

    LFS?... Meh, it's not teh hardcore. You get that silly guidebook and stuff, all you do is wget and untar and ./configure&&make a next set of sources.

    It's not Free (as in speech) & Open Source.

    BTW, Plasma works on all platforms. I've also heard that since 4.1 it can display Mac OS X dashboard applets.

    BTW2, what exactly is holding people back from porting eg. gdesklets or superkaramba to the other platforms?

    You know, I've actually made up this shit. Whoever even looked at about:config, saw that there is no such key. And even when you add it, it doesn't work.

    The person who modded me informative... Has done something stupid. It only shows how stupid people are to not think for themselves... Tell them something that sounds remotely reasonable, something that they might agree with, and they'll believe, they'll follow.

    Right. Into. A. Trap.
