  1. Read the wiki article on the bridge. They've been fighting it's design for it's entire life and were even starting to prepare a replacement.

  3. The original Athlon was roughly the same speed as a Pentium 3 of the same clock rate, the late models were actually faster. They were simultaneously cheaper. The Athlon XP was comparable in power to the Netburst Pentium 4s. The Athlon X2s, having been designed from the beginning for dual-core operation due to their server heritage, were more efficient at multi-core operation than the Pentium Ds.

    AMD has been neck and neck more than once, and ahead at LEAST once.

    Show me the statistics, not the emotion-laden stories. I'll bet money that self-driving cars are safer now and will be even safer in the future. Id love to have one, just can't afford it.

    In most places in America gettings As is pretty easy, especially in High School. You just have to put in a modicum of effort and pick your classes with a little care.

  6. Accountability. That's the central problem. My mom is a teacher and she brings in horror stories of parents refusing to accept that their kids are anything less than perfect.

    Seriously my generation seems to be fucking awful parents.

    I wouldn't go that far. On the NATIONAL level policy hasn't changed, but the shootings have been the impetus for a large number of state-level changes.

    Nah, it's Zune. They stopped making Zunes a long-ass time ago. Got contacted by a customer with a 5 year old Zune that was broken and she wanted a replacement and it was like..."We haven't made ANY Zunes for years, that model for even longer and your warranty ran out 4 years ago."

    So update your firmware and you're good. Even if you don't have an infection you should update to prevent it.

    If you drive your truck 20 miles per year then obviously that doesn't apply to you. However I get the pleasure of driving behind tons of people in 70s era trucks that spew smoke out of their tailpipes. The people driving them usually have lead feet too.

  17. I don't know exactly how much that unit costs, but I'm pretty that saving it would be a very big benefit.

  18. Sure, but this is a TEST flight, so I would argue that it's more important to start with a smaller payload. That way you can work down from safe to probably safe and have less risk of losing the test vehicles.

    Their own. Blue collar workers are relatively easy to get to fall in line and can be reliably duped into voting for the best interests of the rich.

  22. I have a hard time seeing AI being a job creator. Once you get past a certain threshold of ability you can replace large swathes of jobs with AI and the only thing that gets added is the manufacturing of the automated systems, which can be automated itself, and programming AIs, which is highly specialized and will have limited numbers needed anyway.

    China will probably figure out health care sooner or later. The problem that they are facing is that they are essentially building their entire country from the ground up after decades of mismanagement.

  25. Because it fits the narrative that the Right MUST believe in that socialism is inherently bad and cannot succeed. If they admit that it can work just fine in moderate doses then half the reason to vote Republican fails.
