This article refers to kernel 4.9 ?? I'm running on a Ubuntu 18.04 LTS system, kernel is 4.15.0.30. Most distros offer kernel updates on a reasonable time frame , Is the point of this post relevant ?
I guess the GOP is doing the best to distract the general public ( with their feeble mindsets) from the ongoing probe of Russian influence/collusion in the 2106 election
Mine was a cheapo clone running Windows 3 as far as I can remember. I got it because being an accountant I needed to get access to that type of software. Visicalc rocked in those days for me. I can vaguely remember a Toshiba cpu ?? Main thing was that it worked. This was in the early 80's before my Linx days
Well its about time. I ran about four editions of Ubuntu, but Unity killed it for me, found it awful on 32 bit computers which is why I have been running Linuxmint since then, without any problems.
I agree, looks like we are starting to see Julian's true colours. He lost my support around the US election for bullshit like this. I am ashamed of you Mr. Ashange
Or the tech companies could move to Canada. The Ottawa valley as well as the Kitchener-Waterloo has a lot of tech startups as well as established companies who are well established. Both of the areas have well respected Canadian universities resident there so the is a good talent pool. And there is the Toronto/Mississauga area which offers the same. Canada has a lot to offer, no Trump-like entities in our political spectrum (thank God) so its something to think about. We would love to have you here, to be part of our sophisticated and affluent society. Just saying:)
Well I for one am so pissed off by Google dropping support for Chrome on 32 bit Linux computers. I use Chromium but its not as good as Chrome as there is way better video support (especially embedded video support) on Chrome. As a result, I find myself using FF more these days
Having been a long-time Windows user (business requirements) I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It was quite good actually, after a day or so, my daughter and I found out where everything is. MS.. good job ! Wouldn't be giving up my Linuxmint17 desktop and/or my Fedora 21 desktop and laptop though, but Windows 10 seems fine at this point.
Well, there is this old saying: "Too many cooks spoil the broth"

The day that happens I will scrub Windows in whatever version it comes and run ALL my family's computers on Linux. GET a grip, Microsoft
What about Opera ? I seem to be using it a lot these days, love the built in VPN and its quite fast
Comments ?
Hmmn
on an FYI basis, my self-driving car (written in Python using PyTorch) does not work either...
Just saying !
Wow, the choices seem kinda limited then?

A waste of taxpayer dollars, IMHO
Oh how have the mighty fallen. Aren't THEY supposed to be guiding their clients regarding preventing such issues ??
Wow
I started my Linux adventures on Slackware back in 1998.
Just trying to keep up with the Chinese, I see ...

The Peripheral by William Gibson. Am a big Gibson fan, and I have or have read all his books
Waste of resources, Mozilla! Does anyone still use these dinosaurs ?

My two bits
Had one of these since 2008. Awesome router, never had any problems with it.
Doesn't IBM and all the other big names who provide OSS products do this ?

he is an asshole, imho !
Looks like a dinosaur!
Talk about a dog holding onto a bone. What a total waste of time!
I agree, particulary on points A & B
I use Avast on our two Win7 computers. Seems fine after about 5 years use, IMHO
