When you go to a movie theater, and watch 35mm film projected onto the screen, you are effectively seeing at least 1 million more pixels than what a frame of 1080i/p has. Essentially, a theater shows higher than HD resolution. Filmmakers have had to deal with this issue for years. It's TV people who have been getting the free ride of low resolution which allows them to get away with shabby lighting and makeup.

It still seems that you need to create more incentive to download the album. I still suggest only partially releasing the album and encoding the mp3s at a lower quality. It doesn't have to be crappy quality, just not the best. Maybe around 96kb/s.
What you could try is selling hard copy CDs with packaged artwork/cover art that has additional songs your audience can't get anywhere else. Something for the diehard fan. Price the CD competitively against mainstream CDs. You can also advertise the CD as being
"digitally mastered" or "remixed" which will be half true since you'd be burning the master copies.
But really, if people truly like your music, they'll share it with their friends by giving them copies or linking them to your music page. The best you can do is count how many times your mp3s are downloaded.
Why not just release all of your music for free MP3 download? The best incentive to get your music heard is to give it out for free.
You won't be making any money off your music, but you'll gain an audience.

why don't studios concentrate on finding good screenplays? The box office wouldn't be suffering if Hollywood would stop rehashing the same stories over and over again. Take a risk and invest in a screenplay that's engaging and fresh.

Just because something exudes style doesn't mean it's art. It's the same reason design isn't really art. I disagree. If that's true, then architecture is excluded. The architecture of Gothic cathedrals in Europe were designed to evoke the power of god in church-goers. That doesn't have artistic merit? Or does someone have to draw a picture of the architecture for it to be associated with art?

650x480 is the same resolution as Broadcast NTSC (640x480). It's also the same size as DVD-video displayed at a 4:3 aspect ratio.

During the talk, Jimmy acknowledge that the Beta of the engine is gonna suck and the media is gonna shit all over it. When the beta is released, they're gonna type in bold letters "We know this sucks" to curve some of that negative karma from the press. At least he's realistic about the project.
