How about forcing car manufacturers to include an option to put a competitor's engine in the car.
E.g. Mercedes must provide an option where the user can put a BMW engine in the car.

I agree that you should try and forget internet. However if you cannot for reasons I do not know I suggest the following:
Get a mobile phone with a contract (3G phone). You will then be able to connect through your mobile to send email or update a blog.
BTW. I suggest you use Twitter. You can update your status through SMS. You are limited to 140 characters so you will be to the point.
In this way you will be able to update relatives and friends.

Instead of reporting as SPAM, we should mark as phsihing.
In this way phishing can be stopped.
The tech people are the key to stopping spam (besides education).

Sorry to disappoint some of you OpenOffice fans but for work like assignments I will use MS Office over OpenOffice.
For the rest I use OpenOffice.
The same applies for the work environment.

All that needs to be done is to make a law around the world so that all new houses, premises, businesses etc have to have solar panels.
The old houses will take time but at least it is a start. With the law, the price of solar panels will go down due to increased demand and older houses will be able to afford solar panels.

However it will complement. Google Apps is great for students doing assignments with its collaboration and can be used anywhere. You can start assignment at home and finish it at school/university.
Maybe they should provide Google Apps on an Intranet server.
I think action should be taken if the webmaster refuses to remove the offending content. However a webmaster cannot be held responsible for something a commentator wrote.
If he refuses then he is involved and the law should apply. This is how I see it.
I do nit agree with you. I think Computer Science degree is extremely useful. However at the end management/marketing/sommunication skills will enable you to advance to the "A list".
If you have management/marketing skills, you know what is happening in the business world and be proactive. You can then take study to change career before you are forced to.
Come on, no enterprise company will install an open source database unless it provides support. Plus it is not a competitor. Companies who use MS products will definitely use Sql Server.
Unfortunately software bugs happen in a lot due to date/numbers conversions. Whole systems can crash because of this. Just shows the importance of testing.
Google exploited a niche (internet advertising) in an unique way and won. Unless you are a big company who can acquire another company,you have to differentiate yourself.
Vulnerabilities exist and will continue to exist. As long as it is fixed within a short period of time it is ok.
Saying that, If I was a manager in a commercial organization, I would never allow Google Desktop on my employees computers as online security is still in its infancy.

They are never happy. The RIAA want to limit independent artists by making radio stations that broadcast over the Internet pay a heavy fee.

IMHO commercial enterprises should only upgrade to vista after service pack 1.

In my opinion it is the contrary. There is a lot of unused (potential) bandwidth that is not being used.
Both standards follow XML, because XML helps documents become universally available whatever the device. HTML and CSS have limitations.
