Yes because do you really think the locals are going to report on human rights abuses against women in Iran?

because locals have a vested interest and lie.

If you have a political party between two sides, both bias, which is telling the truth. You need an independent third party.

and I think people who only play open source games are lame because they ignore the rich landscape of games in favour of their ideology.

You people are also really boring to talk to because as soon as you mention a proprietary game you have to negativity rant about how non-free it is, like how you're doing now.

They [police] don't have the power to install cameras. However not allowing a license because the premises doesn't have CCTV is perfectly acceptable, just like how you'd lose a license if the hygiene was unacceptable.

I don't see why you care so much since the police haven't got access to the CCTV footage without physically asking for it.

I'm sure you'd feel differently if you got badly hit by a drunken idiot and there was no evidence, wait what am I saying. You're a raving privacy loon, you don't go outside.

I can think of numerous times where putting cameras in pubs is useful in England. The amount of times where people are being glassed (where someone rams a glass into your face, cutting you up) and the total level of drunken violence each week is just asking for more evidence to convict these idiots that go out each week to get drunk then violent on purpose.

The parent AC is absolutely correct. Since the prosecution is trying to show that the pirate bay owners intend to purposely violate copyright where as the defense is sticking with the story that the pirate bay is a sharing website which only removes material if it is against the law or has misleading description.

As someone else noted in a different article (or perhaps website) it's going to be extremely difficult for the prosecution. It would be a contradiction to say that the people responsible for posting the child porn on the pirate bay are responsible rather then the admins, then say that any copyrighted material posted on TPB the admins are responsible for.
