"since many sites use this for clientside including of scripts"
What does that have to do w/.js as an email attachment? using javascript source files on websites will not cause damage to a windows box like one executed from the client that has access to the registry and all other features of the os.
that may not be the right solution. newer versions of php ship w/ the option magic_quotes turned on by default. previously, when sending queries to the database, you would explicitly invoke addslashes() to make sure everything got escaped. so, in effect, if you had magic_quotes turned on, then invoked addslashes you would come up w/ this:
user types: that's right not a DX/2
resulting post data (magic_quotes = On):
that\'s right, not a DX/2
after using addslashes:
that\\\'s right, not a DX/2
i had this problem when i upgraded to php4 and continued to call addslashes explicitly. to solve it, i just turned it off, as that was what i programmed against for the last couple years.
what BNL should *really* do is have all their future cds contain 2-3minutes of music and then a plug to go buy the CD! that way when those damn napster users rip the CD to "share" it, their work is already done!!!
Whats keeping you from using that same logic when speaking of other web sites? Site so-and-so is providing me w/ a service, why should I care if they are tracking information about me. As a web programmer, I think that keeping information about someone is acceptable in order to make their experience on a particular site easier and more enjoyable. However, there is a line where it becomes an invasion of privacy... that I DON'T agree with.
Personally, if I look at a resume and see such a "certification" it does nothing for me...
You are one of the intelligent few. But most ppl in the position of hiring an "intelligent" programmer are impressed w/ all these certifications.. I, for one, am not.
I'm just wondering if the name "Duron" conflicts w/ the "Duron" paint brand? Or, because they are both obviously different products, there is no infringement?
a. configure machine to boot from cd-rom b. insert RH cd into machine (or other bootable linux cd) c. reboot machine d. delete windows partitions to make room for Linux
I don't know if this has been done before, but those of you who don't want to go through the hassle of the free registration, use this login/password combination:
what if said dj does NOT use mp3, but rather vinyl. The dj's set is broadcast live over the 'net, as well as archived in digital audio (.mp3,.ra, etc..) later on. Will this be going against the RIAA? The audio itself is off of traditional media, but the end result is still in a digital format on a PC. Maybe I am not seeing the difference.

Sounds like you work for the government..
that totally cracked me up :)

Just because I'm white doesn't mean that I'm a criminal.. Calling us 'crackers' doesn't make you righteous.
I just downloaded KDE 2.0 and am testing out konqueror. Seems like the KDE folks have things together on this one.
Tried Mozilla once and hated it. Too bloated and slow. Konqueror runs just fine on my p-200.
...of a crappy office suite, just look what the "open source" fairy did for netscape... now we have another bloated piece of shit.

Is it just me, or is the color choice for the YRO section completely void of any taste whatsoever? Brown and puke-yellow, come on!
do it now!
A woodchuck would chuck just as much wood as a woodchuck would chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood
