1. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The (2001) 9.0/10 (28576 votes)
2. Godfather, The (1972) 9.0/10 (45977 votes)
Each of these scored a 9.0 out of 10, but why is the LOTR #1? It would make sense to me that 'The Godfather' would be #1 instead, due to the sheer number of votes. The number of votes just shows that this movie has a more 'solid' 9.0 than LOTR.
Maybe the IMDB is using the recency of the movie to determine the exact opposite of what you suggest?
Sorry for the caps, but I cannot stress how cool this game is. I bought it the other day, and am enthralled w/ the detail and cleverness of the whole thing.
That said, my wife and I have also had trouble turning off Super Monkey Ball and Luigi's Mansion.
A remark like that clearly shows me that you are a terrorist. By the powers given to the US government under the almighty 'Patriot' Act, I would like to see you arrested, given a swift trial in secrecy, and executed.
"Doesn't Mozilla have a nice feature to disable
the document.open() method in javascript?"
Yes, which is why Mozilla has become my browser of choice. I use it not for the pr0n sites (surprisingly) but the majority of 'legitimate' sites that believe that annoying their users w/ pop-ups is a good idea.
The feature that you speak of can be found HERE. You might also want to take a look at the Configurable Security Policies for Mozilla. These features are nice, but the only drawback is that there isn't a good GUI to add/remove sites from your blocklist.
"Apparently today someone tried to get onto a plane with fake pilot identification so this might be a real threat"
This has proven to be false. I'm sure at the time, the original poster didn't know that, but the person in question turned out to be an actual pilot. However, the scenario that he describes is still a threat to our safety.
"There are no names. No Barbie, no GI Joe, no Sonic, or Barney. The child creates everything. The problem is that there's no sense of community to share their creations with their friends. They say "Blascar blew Rennist to smithereens," And their friends say, "So?" Or "Who?""
Not true. My 9 year old brother is really into lego now. While it's true that there aren't any 'names' with many of the lines, the star wars and new bionacle legos make up for this. Apparently there is some sort of struggle between the bionicle characters, and a story behind it all.
You do have a valid point. I built this machine I'm using almost 4 years ago. It has a 450Mhz PII and 128 megs of RAM. I only use it to surf, work on my web applications and record music. I only run what I need, and I have found that MS Office 97 suits me just fine. No reason to upgrade.

Is it just me, or does this look like the sequel to Parappa the Rappa? Although Parappa was a fun game, I like the look of the old Zelda better.
What about:
"Error: The operation has completed successfully"
or is that already sufficiently fscked up?

Ha, I thought that was intentional.
Without even trying it, I'm sure that slip was correct. Mozilla has only recently.9x gotten around to being useable for everyday use (at least for me), but I'll bet the codebase for NS 6.1 is even older.
I'm using a 17" NEC MultiSync P52 at home on a KVM for Linux & Windows. Had it since 98 and it's still going strong!
What's to stop you?
How about ethics and morality... errr, I mean nothing..
If you block DoubleClick ads, surely you must be robbing /. of its ad revenue in some way...
Look at the difference between #1 and #2:
1. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The (2001) 9.0/10 (28576 votes)
2. Godfather, The (1972) 9.0/10 (45977 votes)

Your sarcasm made me laugh out loud. Thank you.

A remark like that clearly shows me that you are a terrorist. By the powers given to the US government under the almighty 'Patriot' Act, I would like to see you arrested, given a swift trial in secrecy, and executed.
Then I'd get my ass arrested to get a free education.
No, you'd probably get your ass raped.

I agree that these sites are annoying and have no good purpose, but is government involvement really the answer?
That should have been 'less than 2002'.. I put in a less than sign that was stripped.. doh.
How about using a version of Front Page 2002, maybe FrontPage 2000? That way they have no 'legal' leg to stand on when they go after said person..

Personally, I prefer the term 'synergy'
