I tend to think the double-slit experiment is evidence of a multiverse. The other 'verses are collide and cause the interference pattern on the other side of the slit.
And don't forget the royalties that Sony gets. If I ever get a Blu-ray, and that is rare for a plethora of other reasons given by other replies, it will be second-hand.
Call me when there's an actual demonstrated problem. Maybe the new materials will act as an amplifier? The situation would be different from floorplan to floorplan and from one wifi antenna placement to the next. You can hem and haw all you want, but you don't know for sure until you field test.
Fiber maybe? You would have the same physical eyesore problem, but the EM radiation would be non-existent. Is that even a real issue though?
This would be cool for small scale applications though, or very large things like beaming power from a solar collector in a Lagrange point to the moon.
Most people forget the three laws are always presented as flawed. Something always happens and runs amok. The three laws are a great starting point, but they are incomplete.
I would mod you up if I had points to spend.
Recall Koko, the signing gorilla? If she had asked for some sort of freedom (and she might have), that would be something worth investigating.
I was close, I read it as "Attacked For Evil Penguins." I thought maybe they were going after Linux and the community retaliated for painting the penguin in a bad light!
It's a happy thing to see other posters here celebrating his work and quoting his funnier moments. He made a lot of people very happy and that's how he should be remembered.
But that brings an excellent point. Why the hell not?
What prevents Google (or Virgin or McDonald's or any other multi-billion dollar entity) from doing so? I have firmly believed for some time now the answer to space exploration and presence will be had through commercial ventures. There is fuck-all ROI on the deal, but at least there could be infrastructure in place and even the possibility of tourism if manufacturing exists for one way trips back from Mars.
Someone needs to step up and make the 25 to 50-year decision to put a Disneyland near Olympus Mons.

Bravo. No mod points to give.

Because they're forcing you to buy it.

Which is the only reason I'm against Nuclear Power. Boiling water is stone age comparatively - no matter how efficient.
"could... unpredictable... potentially"

Third base!
Being overweight does not increase the number of cells in your body: the existing fat cells just swell.
Citation please.
[Do] you think tuna fishermen are going to stop using nets because they might catch something which has rights?
No, but I predict a not insignificant percentage would be deterred.
Opposable thumbs are not a prerequisite for intelligence, just for object manipulation.

Why does it seem that "gender equality" only a one way street?
The longstanding view that a man can do whatever he wants while a woman has to work twice as hard to be thought half as good.
"Do Not. Fuck with us."

Searching for that yields a 6 part documentary that is absolutely fascinating! A worthy presentation to be sure.
I think you mean Massificationization Effect.
