If I take a 2.4ghz wifi tuned antenna and modify it to take +5v and GND lines from a USB connector and plug it into the mains with my USB charger from my iPod will that effectively jam the 2.4ghz band?
Thanks.
Yes however localisation is good, but , if that is only released to specifiec market regions then I get fcuked. If it is available in ALL releases then GREAT NEWS! I have had too much bad experience with only having 4 languages in this region and not the one I want.
Its a classic case of market targeting and ignoring that it is a global world.
Bullfrog games used to have downloadable language packs then for the sequal they stopped this for some reason or made it difficult to find. I just hate the stereotyping of everybody in on market region speaks lagnauge N and ignore all those that travel the world, especially in the Europe and indeed global world we have today.
If this is true, nice thanks, but in my experience this availability of languages has not been a good Experience on games.
I do not purchase over Steam I buy from an online retailer and activate on steam. If multilangauge on this game is good then this is a rare example. Most do not
Play.com is a pan european site actually, its a merchant portal and a store.
Doesnt matter what language I want to get, the problem exists today.
Many regions within europe, Germany, various members of the Nordic Union and others require products and TV shows etc are available in their language.
Europe has a free trade law, if you restrict trade, expect HARSH penalties.
Some regions of Europe have laws that means all products sold must be in the native language, thus products are in these localised langauges, if I am lucky I can get my language, if not then Im screwed. I usually order from Play.com, I really don't care where they get them from as long as it is in my language and a good price.
DVD region market restrictions failed, doing this with software will also fail.
Usually they are localised to those regions and thus the issue I raised with language is perfectly valid. Not every game has downloadable language packs or is multi language.
I live in a country that is not my native language, I wish to purchase products in MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. I have to import a lot of stuff for this reason.
I may have no other choice than to no longer purchase their product if they block this.
Good luck doing this in Europe also where free trade is REQUIRED.
Really, why should we buy this crap? Boycott hardware to lower OEM licence sales, boycott upgrading, boycott retail and so on.
Get your act together. Stop giving them your money.
Also, if you are a shareholder, VOTE in every corporate action. I do and every time I vote them off the Board, one day it will happen, I try to do my bit to speed it along:)
ELECTRICAL fire.
With all these IN-FLIGHT entertainment and goodies, its easier day by day to cause havoc on an air plane.
Just rip open or screw open the in-flight ENTERTAINMENT center, tv or whatever and short circuit it.
UTILITY Computing, IBM's wet dream. Also, game hosting in the cloud. No more installing clients, you play in virtual clients. Game houses wet dream. Thin clients, Oracles wet dream.
They have a history of problems including charging credit cards when people cancelled their game over and over and over...
I got burned by them financially so I changed my CC details and never went back EVER, wont ever again.
Its unfortunate as I was getting into the game.
This was a time bomb waiting to happen since they pissed so many people off.
Will affected customers by this outtage get any compensation, I doubt it.
The sooner people cancel in droves the better, give them a very painful message. FINANCIALLY as they did to us.
There area many people TODAY in this era that do not have internet nor care about it. They also get on fine. I would even argue they are more free because of it.
You will probably find most pirated copies of Windows users also have valid OEM licenses, they just choose to use the retail or MSDN or VLK edition.
This will have little impact on the Windows market.
It is when Windows is not TAXED on OEM hardware you will see an impact.
Good thing I just bought a cell phone jammer then :)

Somebody should sell the CIA on eBay :)

yes because airlines have a proven record of perfectly following maintenance and not taking shortcuts not to mention kapton wiring :)

Perhaps not but the ensuing panic as smoke is seen in the cabin and the registering of electrical fault may force a landing.

... http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=kapton+wiring+problems Kapton wiring by DuPont is a silent time bomb in most COMMERCIAL aircraft. This wiring is BANNED in MILITARY and NASA equipment but YOU fly surrounded by it not knowing the dangers.

Uhh NO, don't even touch it. This way they get the message VERY QUICKLY, it flops at the start gate.
Actually, it is. Its not certified for such use when there is a network card installed.
.. something may happen to your luggage.
The point is, if you eliminate these pirate copies they would NOT switch and the numbers of legitimate windows users would not increase.
There area many people TODAY in this era that do not have internet nor care about it. They also get on fine. I would even argue they are more free because of it.
.. then we just have ONE "standard" to attack :)
Easier to hack.

... pull us back and bounce us off our bedroom wall in response to a hit?
Doesn't matter what era you choose, how about the 1950s then. No internet, people still survived.
