I don't think NK did officially, but consider this: Kerry has offered them one-on-one discussions, which is what NK wants, whereas Bush is pushing for multinational negotiations.
And if a person is so intent on getting "better" water, it would likely be more cost effective to refill your own bottles with filtered home water (slap a filter on the faucet or buy one of those filtering pitchers), or subscribe to one of those water delivery services.
When driving to work, I pass a yard with one of those rentable billboard signs (the ones with the movable type). Flourenscent green and red letters nonetheless. It feels as if someone is shouting.
seriously.. is that the state of the usa democracy? that people are too jaded to even fucking care about the voting? what is it, land of the sheep or what?
Yes, it's apathy, I think.
Why aren't high public officials doing something about "voting reform"? I mean *really* doing something about it? Could it be a political tactic to allow apathetic voters to continue thinking that their votes don't matter?
Declaring "War on X" creates talking points as a way to manipulate public opinion. It leads to one party being able to claim that another party [didn't fund | underfunded | misplanned] the "war".
Bush: Research on embryonic stem cells also raises profound ethical questions because extracting the stem cell destroys the embryo, and thus destroys the potential for life.
But then, fertility clinics, by law, are required to dispose of thousands of these same embryos.
By the National Center for Health's own statistics, one in tenwomen is incapable of bearing children. Plus, I have heard on the radio yesterday that something like only 50-75% of eggs, unfertilized or not, are reabsorbed before reaching the uterus.
I get two big points out of this: 1. Nature isn't so concerned that every egg must become a fetus. 2. Nature deems some women unfit to bear offspring. 3. Since Bush is a man of God, why support methods that alter Nature's/God's way (in vitro fertilization)? At least the partial ban on stem cell research is consistent with the "natural" way of things.
Selling them individually or in smaller lots, I bet will be more profitable. BUT, getting it listed on slashdot may just pull it out in the end. Two words: Resale value.
No doubt, though, that parting out would be a PITA wrt shipping.
Exactly, they are there voluntarily. How would you feel if you volunteered to do something good for your country, and got spit on for it? You probably wouldn't volunteer again, nor would others be encouraged to do so. Support your troops!
I didn't think that true volunteers go in expecting some kind of external gratification based on their choice and effort. Pure volunteering is due to personal convictions.
They have both googlesucks.com and googleblows.com. But what is interesting to me is the apparent foresight they had in registering them:

often sell more expensive advertising since you are delivering a targeted audience instead of a wide, undefined audience.
I think Google would agree on account of its email filtering targeted advertising.
My personal hypothesis: Osama is dead. He hasn't starred in any videos (it's always his "second in command"). Al-Qaeda just wants everyone to think he's alive, for morale purposes.
Hmm. Osama's followers could regard his martyr status as something rather motivating. Surely, if OBL is dead and it's known only to the current leaders, then they have a trump card to play when it's convenient for them, inconvenient for the military forces.
Also, news of OBL's death could translate into part of "mission accomplished" by the US administration, which could be spun prior to November.
It's arguable that you should -- at least somewhat. With your economic consolidation underway, you stand to inherit the "crown" as the US becomes simulataneously more exploitative of and isolationist from the rest of the world. Watching the US fsck itself will only add to your knowledgebase for improving your situation if needed.

A nice complement to the submitted article is the per state breakdown of the pollsters' data: http://www.electoral-vote.com/pollsters/ind ex.html
1. The burden would be on children to get an ID. It suggests the children are to blame, when it's the pedophiles who are at fault and should be prosecuted.
2. In the extreme, isn't this a step in the direction of corporate or even government controlled access? It could limit who, when, and where content can be accessed -- if at all.
Bush does NOT want a draft.
In the last debate Bush boasted that his administration had increased the number of Pell grant recipients. But nowhere have I heard in the media the fact that in order to be eligible to receive Pell, males must register with the Selective Service.
So if the gov't ever does need recruits, they could just starting pull names from the list rather than instigating a full-blown draft board.
Bush may not want a draft, but then again, politicians do change their mind.

so.. if both of them rig it who wins?
He who rigs better, wins.

As long as it leaves me with a pleasurable sensation that I don't have to go Risa, I'm all for it.

Mt St.Helens doest have a caldera.
/emerge magma
Its magma chamber never collapsed, the loss in heigh was because the top of the mountain broke away in a landslide.
This is because ever since the SCO debacle blow-up, it switched over to Gentoo.
By mandating conformance for local ID's, the states get to pick up the bill.
That's a good point. And of course this would mean that driver's license fees will increase accordingly.

They mentioned all the major digital camera manufs. also, except for Canon.

Sorry, yeah, the WinSxS ones don't count.
Did a file search and found 13 *gdi*.ddl files on my XP Home + SP2 system. Liston's scanning program reported the following warnings:

C:\Program Files\RecordNow!\gdiplus.dll

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus

Actually, I was thinking al queda would rather have Kerry because Kerry's opinion seems swayable. Bush is a hard-liner and won't back down.
