Well, 2 and an acronym: NO MORE DRM The popularity of the iPod wouldn't be anywhere near what it has become if not for easily shared music through ripped CDs and pirated music. They just don't get it folks. They refuse to see that their business will get better without DRM.
I worked for Gateway tech support a few years back and if you changed the OS - even from one Windows version to another - the varranty vas kaput. They'll change the policy eventually, but it's certainly no surprise to this call center/sweat shop veteran.
Literally every single person I know - including myself - is at least on their second 360. One person I know just sold his third one on ebay and bought a PS3. because he just didn't trust that it would las. Obviously you can't blame him. My second one is working great so far.
They just said that the population of GM mosquitoes increased relative to the non GM mosquitoes. I don't think anything was implied that the overall population of mosquitoes would increase, but maybe I misread it. I think the bigger issue will be when the religious whackos get involved saying that the scientists are playing God and if we tinker with his creations for our benefit we're damned to hellfire and brimstone. Boogey boogey boogey!! This does sound very interesting, but the questions it raises - cause and effect, not religious ones - might outweigh the benefit.s They should probably do a couple/few years of testing in a controlled environment before unleashing them on the 3rd world, though that's never stopped the pharmaceutical companies.
I work for a large publishing company and our IT dept. still uses tape backups that run every night and backup the network. They recycle the tapes every two weeks so that's as far back as the backup goes, which I guess is fine. I've needed it once for a file I deleted off the network that I didn't have saved to my hard drive and they got it for me within an hour or so. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.
...by the fact that any reasonable person - an industry term - would bother giving any credence to this man's thoughts and opinions or any weight at all to anything thing that spews forth from his paranoid/schizophrenic gray matter. He's a loon and should be treated as such.
I hate to say this, but after an intense session of Most Wanted I find myself being more of a lead foot and not having patience for slow drivers. Now granted, I'm like this without playing Most Wanted, (1994 300ZX Twin Turbo will do that to you), but I catch myself being even MORE aggressive after a couple hours of Most Wanted. I'm an adult and should be able to control myself, but it really does something to you psychologically I think. I guess this study proves what I already suspected. That being said, I haven't had a ticket or accident in years so I'm still being careful, just more aggressive with a car that can handle it. It's not like I'm out there flying around haphazardly in a Lincoln Towncar. ()
What does AOL have to do with having cable internet? Don't be hatin' on my AWESOME, ALWAYS ON, FAST AS HELL, NEVER A PROBLEM broadband connection. Sour grapes and jealousy is all I'm hearing. I use their free tools because then I don't have to buy them from a third party. If you had a girlfriend you'd know that they won't let you get away with not having protection. I'm virus free and have been because I'm not an idiot, not because the anti virus software is all that. This whole argument boils down to common sense. And AOhell doesn't enter into it.
High horse? Ya know they have satellite broadband don't you? I'm not on any high horse. I have Comcast cable internet and I LOVE IT. It's been awesome and I've had it since it was first offered by MediaOne, then by AT&T who bought out MediaOne, and now Comcast who bought out AT&T broadband. So it's not about the cable company, it's about the friggin' broadband. Get off YOUR high horse and get in the 21st centurey. Oh, and quit your whining. Sheesh.
Also, WTF is up with you MS haters? Mesus! Get over it already. And my antivirus works just fine thank you. It's free and it's worth it. All you player haters need to just quit yer bitchin' and join the fun without always worrying and whining about everything. "MS is evil and Bill Gates" is the devil! Waaaahhhh!
Lawyers are the lowest form of life in the universe so who gives a shit if they trash each other on some worthless forum? They're just exercising their penchant to lie, cheat, and steal to prepare themselves for their careers. I wish they would just start killing each other instead of acting like the pussies they are by only saying bad things about each other. Then we'd really have something worth discussing and cheering for!
If you have Comcast cable internet McAfee security suite is free. Other ISPs provide security products free of charge as well. Shop for a better ISP, not for a Symantec vendor. Also, it might be a good idea not to click on things you're not sure of and stop surfing for porn so much.
