    It's entertainment.
    Entertainment in a large fashion dictates what is ok and normal.
    Every bit of acceptance is good.

    This is also the matter of people noticing that a feature is lacking in their game.
    It's the same type of complaint, in a fashion, as when you can't play games in a LAN unless you are connected to the internet.
    It's an unneccesary addition specifically not allowing two people to get together.

    You mean, you've learned one workflow and you are dissapointed when a separate one works differently.

    Not at all strange, just that it's not the same.

    I have similar problems going from libreoffice calc to excel since I know libreoffice calc better.

    1: Could you get more interesting stuff to do currently?
    2: How long will this creative phase last in the new job?
    3: Will it be a long-term thing? Basically this can only be guaranteed by partnership in the firm.
    4: Is money currently a major influence on what you can do with your life?
    5: If this company fails after your redesign, how will that look on your CV?
    6: Do you know if they will actually listen to your experience or will they hamper you severely by restricting your choices?

    Basically, you can't know.

    However, try to have a beer with your new collegues first.
    Usually you can get them to tell you about what type of place it is to work.

    IPS is sometimes great.

    However, if an attack occurs from thousands of IP-adresses and with random requests.
    Well, they fail and you fail.

    DDOS is terrible to defend against.

    DOS otoh is simple, just block the IP.

    This is not an issue.

    Evolution isn't doing anything useful at the moment, it's not improving humanity.

    The most useful and succesful are not the ones getting the most kids.

    Evolution, as always, is working fine, it's just that we aren't creating an environment where it is useful.

    Which is all well and good, living in such a society would be horrible.
    Manipulation of genetics is the way to go though.

    That is actually the problem with counting them as assets.
    This means that you can't count expenses, notably the power and the card against the profit.

    Basically this means that gross instead of net will be taxed for BC-miners.

    Actually, a collegue (she's not a techie) bought a bunch of cheap lightning cables.

    Each of them broke within a couple of weeks of usage.

    Anecdotorama notwithstanding, cheap crap is in some cases annoyingly crappy.
