how many of you are playing a PS3 on a 1080p plasma? don't argue graphics. the wii supports 720p at it's best and the 360 doesn't come close.
also, early adopters of the 360 pro who want the extra hard drive space are going to end up spending $200 more on an external drive now, shooting the cost over your PS3. granted, this is still cheaper considering you have to buy games for the PS3.
also consider that as wonderful as the wii is, there isn't a lot out for it. right now i'm playing metroid prime 2 again using my wii, yay! why? because i beat spiderman 3 in 9 hours. don't even talk to me about redsteel. i returned it on november 19th.
another thing: if the price isn't what's deterring people from buying these consoles, why are they sitting on the shelf? you can still buy it and sign up for a gamefly or equivalent service and save your money that way. considering most of the games available right now for PS3 and Wii are under 20 hours (super paper mario, cough.. 12 hours if you're not in a coma). why not pick up a system and drop $20 a month on games that you're not going to play for that long anyway, instead of spending $50+ a week on something that's going to collect dust after one lonely weekend? why?
because you're afraid of the price. what do i say to this? get used to it. you're going to have to buy a car and your own house someday. $600 is nothing compared to these purchases. if you've got disposable income, flaunt it.
Coming summer 20(xx):
D4: Ducks on Mars.
Emilio Estevez, amazingly still alive; reprises his role as coach of the district 5 hockey team. Even more amazing, no one on the team has aged and they are all in peak physical condition since the last film in the series. Also, the old man who runs the store is alive.
The team travels to Mars to compete against some nation who is vastly better in at hockey in every way than the USA in the first Interplanetary-No-One-Cares-About-Hockey Tournament. Along the way, they find out the true meaning of friendship and family; and much to the dismay of NASA, the girl who plays the other goalie in the 2nd and 3rd movies has sex with everyone on board except Goldberg.
I for one, cannot wait.
"How do you cope with sexual desire among healthy young men and women during a mission years long?"
Well, considering that there hasn't been a single attractive female astronaut in the history of space exploration (read: wookie); i would suggest sending your normal crew.
Nine Inch Nails are still together.
Read these comments from Apple: "Yeah we were surprised at first too, but now that we've got one of the coolest bands of 1995 plugging our software; we could really care less that you won't buy an iPhone."
i'd love to see anything about Diablo 3. since i gave up WoW last year, i've got a PC that i built near specifically for the game (peripherals and all) just sitting there running firefox, iTunes and azureus.
then again, if devs would start pushing out games for ps3 and wii, i could care less about blizzard. oblivion (ps3) is ruling me these days, so i've got time to wait.
ok, i live near boston. here's the deal.
last wednesday it was 74 degrees in our fair state. last friday we received around 7 inches of snow.
it was the only snowstorm we received all winter, and it was halfway through march. after a 74 degree day.
Something is up with our planet. It probably can't be fixed at this point, but the inevitable can be slowed. Use lower watt light bulbs and turn them off when you're not in the room. Use public transportation when you can. Those are the best things you can do. No one expects you to drop everything and buy a Prius/Insight/Civic Hybrid/Highlander Hybrid/Escape Hybrid/RX350h, or become an activist and make your own shoes.
just have a little common sense and think of the big picture.
ok, and what if the wind was blowing east that day, out to sea? why has no one thought to consider that?
yes it would have to be a somewhat strong wind, but if a large amount (or as small as 5%)of the ash blew into the ocean, the long term effects would be a wee bit worse than "oh noes our land is bad! now how can we ford the river!?"

this is all just a huge PR stunt to promote this summer's super smash hit action blockbuster monkey movie: "Superman Returns. Again."
my god, depending on where you live, it's full of stars!
i'm planning a "Cloned Stinky Meat" field experiment for summer '07.
"Soylent Green is made of cloned people! It's made of cloned people!"
