You can still be infected with the rootkit, you just would not be infecting other people. The only thing you need to do is click on a URL that an infected friend sends you, and then double click the file to view/run it. For example the file I was sent was pic0100.com.

"If it's in a stored proc who can change it? Any one of the programmers or database administrators. If it's in MY code who can change it? ME! Yup"

Yep, and if you have a compiled program that has been distributed, and requires an update to the SQL your app uses, do you A: update your program, and hope that every user updates their program. or B: Update the stored procedure that is called from your application. Still like your way?

Second of all, who should have access to YOUR code? Well the DBA to start, because it is THEIR database judging from your attitude.

Stored procedures have very many uses, from working with the sqlserver agent (and other helpful default stored procs) to managing huge amounts of data. You should take a few hours and learn how to use them.

Yeah he shouldnt have been walking with someone who was spray painting on walls, and is your traditional "wrong place at the wrong time" situation.  It's been 2 years now and still has not gotten any of his stuff back.

Most people I know watch a movie more then once,  if not all the way through to at least see specific parts or the extra sections.

The only way something like this worked was if people were forced into it with no other options,  and the dvd players were so cheap they could be giveng away from rental stores, or the hardware was created and the disks didnt come out for another 5-10 years.

Also without a monitor ($50.00 - $300.00 extra) its also worthless for the market they are going after.

This sounds cool, except for the fact you can buy bigger/bulking vanilla boxes with more hardware suitable to someone who would want an internet enabled machine.  It sounds like a good deal for someone who wants a very small, low quality (meaning speed, storage etc) machine.
