The only reason I use google search is because how fast it loads, their main page isnt bogged down with crap that takes time to load, it just loads. If one of the big three had been smart enough to know that the hard core among us just want efficiency and we are the ones that provide word of mouth then they would be a lot better of. Google doesn't prevent competition, it just does things better then the competition.

This is just a thought, and I know it's kinda radical here but is it at least possible that these might be some of very first sea fairing people and they simply got lost and discovered the Americas first? I mean, we have been tool users for a very long time, they might have made a very primitive raft, and if long ships, Egyptian sailing ships and south American boats have proven to be able to cross the Atlantic then is it so impossible that these people crossed a primitive pacific?

  18. Re:Edifying on Dead Sea Scrolls To Go Digital On Internet · · Score: 1

My problem with Christianity, and why I turned to paganism is simple; it assumes morality and spirituality are the same thing and as such tries to set rules for good behavior as a path to the divine. The problem with this is that whenever you set hard and fast rules you get what all geeks have seen when gaming...rules lawyering. We know the type, munchkins who manage to take a game a ruin it for the rest by abusing the rules to their advantage. Well, those people grow up and when they get involved it faith they become things like bible thumper's, born again's, and Jihadits. My faith has but one guidline, do whatever you want but whatever you do will come back at you 3 times as much. It means I am responsible for my actions (and bad spelling, sorry guys) and I will be called to answer for them in the here and now. That is why I follow my faith, I don't believe it's for everyone but I do believe in it for me. Also I think this is pretty cool, I love it whenever a book it put online free to read.

I don't see why one model or the other needs to be totally right, I am willing to accept that my belief may not be correct, because honestly, trying to interpret history without experiencing it is not easy, there are so many things we hold true that could be completely wrong, and many others that we believe fiction could be right. The point I'm trying to make is that you need to keep an open mind. Be willing to examine your own beliefs and reexamine them, does it make the gods more or less wondrous that not old did they make the universe, but they made it in a way that we can understand it. For me, it makes them more wonderous
