That's like a mugger leaving a card thanking you for your custom and asking you to use his services again.
It's more like if he offered to sell you a new wallet, while politely reminding you that he'd probably be back to steal it again at the same time next year.
As I said, horses for courses, my friend. I am not disagreeing with you.
Your e-reader may well be far superior for readability. My smartphone is far superior for being in my pocket at all times. I don't carry a bag around with me all day, I have nowhere to put an e-reader, so having access to read books on my phone is 100% better for me than having no books to read at all.
Horses for courses, my friend. Complain all you like about the size of a smartphone or the screen quality of a laptop, but I'm not going to carry around a dedicated piece of hardware just to read books on. I already have a smartphone that does the job almost as well right here in my pocket, and that's good enough for me.
And another thing. You are trying to enter a field where MOST of your competitors are CROOKS. Do you really want to be associated with such a label as a "Social Network Game Producer" when those that already are seem to be jumping ship in an attempt salvage what little reputation they retain now the cat is out of the bag regarding the less then savory business practices they've used?
If this link is to be believed, it seems they will be quite at home associating with crooks.
It's widely recognised that the netbook craze took laptop manufacturers by surprise. Sales of more expensive laptops were lost as people flocked to buy the cheap, highly portable and "good-enough" devices that they actually wanted. Now the industry is trying to kill off the monster they have created, with opinion pieces like this one. No-one's paying the slightest attention, of course - people know what they want, and they'll continue to buy it, no matter what the media tells them they ought to be doing.
That's what I thought. Plenty of a certain nearsighted crowd like their big screens
Did you actually not notice that a lot of people browse the web on their phones these days? Sure, not everyone wants to do that, and you guys can carry on buying the standard handsets that are still made in abundance.
Incidentally, being nearsighted would help you to see tiny text on a small screen, not hinder you.
The developer, Splash Damage, seems willing to do a Linux port if the publisher, Bethesda, gives them the green light.
While I hate to burst anyone's bubble, that is like saying that the developer of Duke Nukem Forever is willing to finish the game if the publisher gives them the green light.
Finally, we have the technology to reproduce Dragon's Lair - and anyone who's tried it knows how much fun that was! Welcome to the 80s... now if only there was some way to store these interactive videos on a big shiny disc.
Miles around competition burned with the deepest rage
The work was hard and Sam did it for the cheapest wage
Seemed that the other man's shoes didn't fit him
When he was out working the others were out to get him
Except that the main thing the iPhone has going for it is the software. The hardware is no longer anything special.
480 x 320 screen? The HTC Touch HD2 has 800 x 480. 256MB of RAM and a 600MHz CPU? Many of the latest smartphones come with 512MB of RAM and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. 3 megapixel camera? There are phones out with 8 megapixel and even 12 megapixel cameras. Of course, the lens and sensor are what really matters - and there are much better ones around than the iPhone's. It doesn't even have the lead in looks any more. There are far more attractive smartphones around.
But it does have damn good software. So to pick out the iPhone as the body seems odd to me.
With around 20,000 free hotspots between McDonald's and Starbucks (who went free[ish] earlier this year), anyone still charging for Wi-Fi is going to look foolish, if not downright greedy."
I love the way Slashdot articles say stuff that just isn't true, just because the submitter wishes it was. It's so adorable.
If some new product has been released, I will learn about it through the (relatively) unbiased news sources which I read to keep me up to date with such developments.
I don't need the manufacturer of said product to grab my shoulders, shake me around and scream into my face "hey you! look! I've made something new, you'll love it - honest! BUY IT NOW!"
I particularly loved this line from the article: -
But for now, I don't expect to see any corporations handing out the Nexus One to their employees.
I guess he didn't hear about a little corporation named "Google".

And my phone is even smaller, and contains even more volumes! It's miraculous really.
The only thing that would stop me doing this is DRM.
Or raptors.

I assume you don't use Facebook yourself. If you do, try clicking the 'Hide' button next to the Farmville spam, and you might be pleasantly surprised.
Oh no! You've found a lost, lonely social gaming framework, and it's looking for a home.

Good God, man, we'd have to dismantle 90% of the federal government. Oh, wait...
No, don't wait. Get to it.

Well, what else is he going to do with all those perfect scale replicas of cows?
Build a perfect scale replica of Milton Keynes?
I call Rule 34 on this.
I have also registered 72VirginBridge.com, and intend to be rich within the year.

Security through obscurity vs full disclosure. Full disclosure always win for the customer, regular citizens and the greater good.

And if a bricklayer were 10x more productive than his peers this would be obvious too
And he'd end up getting shoved off the top of a building by the bricklayers that he made look bad.

It's alright for you surfing the web on a typewriter, this sort of thing isn't an issue.
Just a wild guess, but is it Munroe's?
Because the Toronto Skeptics are based in Vancouver.
Don't even get me started on the Unsure People of Montreal. Splitters.
