Great, buy some closed source software, and you will have no idea when such a bug is found, at least here once it was found, everybody knew, and a fix was made available quickly, no attempt to cover it up or pass it off as nothing important
Same experience, when map editor came to my town I thought great, but it's been more than a year a just a simple correction of my house number is still not on gmaps
You just proved the advantage of OSM, you can fix this! If you found the same problem on gmaps, you would be stuck with it until they decided to notice.
and I'm incredibly unlikely to be affected by it, so who cares?
I think that is quite a nieve statement, unfortunately what the americans do affects all of us, whether we like it or not, not least because they set a precedent for everybody else but because all the core parts of the net are in america.
don't people pay to watch on netflix? so on the one hand they might get money from ads, and people get a poor viewing experience, the other people watch what they want, when they want, ad free, and disney gets garrenteed money for every watch
too late is what that sounds like, i imagine most people will download within hours of it being broadcast. and really, what are they gaining in those two weeks?
Other than the name, which is a trademark, not intellectual property, what are NAMCO claiming they own? the programming language, the program, presumably all the graphics, were all created by the students
is that a joke? virgin media are starting to deploy 200mbps fibre, there is 50mbps on copper cable....
my house in a rural area gets 8mb and soon to be 24mb... see there is a long way to go... as i see it, its not broadband until its over 2/3mbps cause thats what you need to stream good quality tv and do some browsing on a couple of computers...
Used on skype lots, not used on the network because they seriously rip you off for it, 10p per minute for regular calls, 50p for video, and thats not changed since it first came out 5+ years ago. Also not included in contract minutes
Various 3G phones have supported video calling from the outset of the 3G network, phones from a variety of manufactures, on different networks, even in different countries. Why do they have to reinvent everything?
you realise that democracy is about the views of the people being heard? and not just those of the atheists, but of the 1/3 of the worlds population who are christian as well

Because most people only want to watch it once. Any they don't want to wait for the whole thing to download.
must of been a really difficult decision, long live the pirate bay!
The one time i need them, and i dont have any mod points
Actually its more normal to use 'they' when the gender is unknown.
it will/would if the usa ever get their dirty hands on him - really for just being smart enough to point out the flaws in a multinational's software.

3.6mbps is the national average in the uk, including rural areas, and the uk is far from broadband leader.. http://www.ofcom.org.uk/media/features/brspeeds

anyone else love the way in the uk we use mpg, but petrol is sold in litres, so a gallon is utterly meaningless to most britions...
