I went with the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7. It's basically the previous Nexus 7 stats with a memory card slot. The Hisense pro was the other device I was considering. I just checked and it's running Android 4.2.2. The Asus has minimal changes from stock Android, but I like their skin.
And it sucks more in the US because you usually can't get treatment because there's no way a person with schotzophrenia (or most other mental illnesses) can hold a job
Untrue, there are federal programs for people with mental illness to afford housing and necessary drugs. I know because I have relatives who are schizophrenic.
Many people with schizophrenia aren't able to successfully jump through the multitude of hoops required to deal with any government program.
I'm willing to put my neck on the line somewhat to avoid a CT in a toddler who just has overprotective parents, but your fat, diabetic, smoking, sedentary, litigious ass is just not cute enough to get the my sympathy.
Funny you should mention toddlers and CT scans. We just ran into this the other night with my daughter. She had a 3-4 foot fall onto concrete. Ended up with a head bump and a nose bleed. The EMTs at the arena suggested we take her into the ER because of the bleeding nose (even though it was likely she hit it). We brought her into the ER and had the doctor check her out just in case. The doctor examined her and explained when and why they might want to do a CT scan, but suggested that she should be fine without one. It sounded like many parents didn't want to hear no from him. Anyhow, we didn't get a CT scan because the benefits didn't outweigh the risks and the next day she was fine.
It's interesting that your collection folks work business hours. We did the donated cord blood thing. In the case of our son, they sent us a kit ahead of time and the delivery doctor did the collection and handled returning it.
Our other kids were twins and they wouldn't take the cord blood because of some specific problems that twins can have. I thought it was a shame because they has separate placenta, so there wasn't any chance of the issues they were worried about.
I don't think you're correct in regards to the ADEA. There may be other employment laws that are applicable, but the ADEA appears to only apply to individuals age 40 and older.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA) protects individuals who are 40 years of age or older from employment discrimination based on age. The ADEA's protections apply to both employees and job applicants. The ADEA permits employers to favor older workers based on age even when doing so adversely affects a younger worker who is 40 or older.
Depending on if there was a sign up advertising free wireless, or if the SSID was clearly intended to be public, one or more of the following should have gotten him off.
(6) It is a rebuttable presumption in a prosecution for a violation of section 5 that the person did not have authorization from the owner, system operator, or other person who has authority from the owner or system operator to grant permission to access the computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network or has exceeded authorization unless 1 or more of the following circumstances existed at the time of access:
(a) Written or oral permission was granted by the owner, system operator, or other person who has authority from the owner or system operator to grant permission of the accessed computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network.
(b) The accessed computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network had a pre-programmed access procedure that would display a bulletin, command, or other message before access was achieved that a reasonable person would believe identified the computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network as within the public domain.
(c) Access was achieved without the use of a set of instructions, code, or computer program that bypasses, defrauds, or otherwise circumvents the pre-programmed access procedure for the computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network.

You bring up excellent points about some of the outside risks that an enterprise experiences, but let me suggest to you a couple of solutions. Consider implementing 802.1x authentication at the switch port. There are several programs that implement with 802.1x/Radius and a system status program that allows you to specify what patches and AV software a client needs to be running before connecting to the network. You definitely should be running some form of end-point control on your VPN clients. I'm familar with the Sygate, Symantec, and Zonelabs products that do this.
Is this stuff expensive? You bet your ass, but how expensive is the clean up from most of these worms?
10+ years ago when my mother went back to school to become a nurse, I got to be the guinea pig. I haven't ever been fond of needles, but after being stuck a hundred or so times, I no longer have as much of an issue with it. It really makes a difference if the person doing the sticking knows what they are doing.
Your absolutely right. Women scare themselves away from doing heavy weights because they are afraid they are going to "bulk up". Ask any of the guys at the gym who are try to bulk up, it takes a lot of work. You have to have the right body type and develop a training program specifically designed to build bulk. You aren't going to turn into some sort of muscle bound freak by doing a few sets of heavy weights.
There are a couple of other options. In most states you can refuse to join a union based on your religious beliefs. All states must honor the request of a "Beck Objector".
Beck Objectors are those who exercise their right to refrain from paying for union expenditures that are not germane to the union's representation function. This right was established in the Supreme Court case, Beck vs. Communication Workers of America. Employees wishing to exercise this right should notify the union in writing that they object to paying for expenditures not germane to the union's representation function.
Essentially, your responsible for paying your share of the basic collective bargaining function of the union and nothing else.

Freecycle rocks for getting rid of crap. I just got rid of about 6 yards of dirt. Yes, someone came to the house and took my extra dirt. :)

I travel about 25% of the time and I also use the TomTom 300. I always use the voice navigation and rarely look at the screen.

I'm not certain of how the test is done, but the machines are called non-contact tonometers.
You can manually do this with hping2.
