I bought the Nook Color a few months ago, when rumors of the android update were getting stronger. At first, I threw on honeycomb and froyo onto some SD cards and didn't use the Nook interface much. Then I bought a book and used the stock UI to do some reading, fell in love with it. Now that the stock interface has a lot more functionality (gmail, flash, angry birds) I don't even boot into a rom anymore. The only thing its missing, for me, is more selection in apps. I wish I could get my wifi analyzer and some other handy apps on it. I've been considering rooting it, but overall I've been very happy with it.
I knew a guy that used a Logitech Trackman FX for FPS'. He was not very good. Granted, precision was ok, he could make fine tuned movements and with anything in front of him he could easily and quickly put the cursor on it. Turning was very limited since he had to move slowly to keep control, or flick the ball and have a hard time timing where it would stop when he stopped the ball.
On novice I had 15 wins, 5 ties, and about 7 losses. I could usually predict what he would predict I would throw. Easy, right?
I then tried it on Veteran, and my first 15 throws were all 15 ties. I kind of got bored then, saw what it was going to predict and won the next round. I claim I won that game.
When I was hired in my first IT job, I talked to my boss about how unhappy I was with the technology education I was receiving from my online college. He went to a university and had the exact same complaints as I did. My biggest issue is that they teach how to do something instead of why.
Click here click that, then that. If one item has changed since those books were published, the stupid students would be totally lost.
I "fiddle" more with Windows than I do Linux. At least with Linux there's log files, text config files, and generally if it's broke, you broke it and have an idea of where to go to fix it. With Windows, one day it's broke, reboot and it's fine. You will never know what happened.
I bought an HDMI-DVI cable for my PS3 when I used it with my monitor. When I got a TV, I just bought a small DVI-HDMI adapter. Everything works, including sound. I didn't know HDMI had the exact same pins as DVI. Makes me wonder why they use HDMI anyway..
I dunno... the waterline is spot-on. I'm thinking it was just a color calibration issue. And as for the man, you're not seeing it from the proper depth. That's a photo hanging from a string, it's directly in front of the camera. Nice try though.
We installed a storage array that has bright (flashlight level) blue lights. They drive me mad, and I would put tape over them if my boss would let me.
Do what I do:
Refuse to accept DST. I just set my alarms one hour early or later. I don't go to work at 8am, I go to work at 7am. It's odd, and freaks people out when they ask me what time it is. On the other hand, they kind of stop asking me what time it is.
I was browsing around the management website of a Samsung telephone system once, saw the DST settings and thought I would take a look. There were about seven lines, with text boxes for the month, day, year, hour, minute, second that a DST change would occur. I thought to myself, "what happens when these seven years have passed?"
Does the phone system update itself, or will our times suddenly be of because it has no entries for DST? Either way, that has to be the worst implementation of DST I have ever seen.
No. I read your comment four times and thought "What's he going on about?" and thought you were crazy. Then as I was tabbing over I realized you didn't say "spam." I guess we all read what we want. Err.. yes, the answer is yes.
While that would awesome, I doubt my HTC Droid Eris could handle it. I already play Angry Birds at.5 frames per second. But its fun, regardless. July, 2011 can't get here sooner.
Yeah.. I've been experiencing even more spam these last few months. It's actually making it into my gmail inbox. A few, have even made it into my "priority" inbox too. Gmail was so great at spam filtering I only saw five or six pieces of spam a year. I've seen about 8 in the last 2 months.
I agree. I got back into WoW with Cataclysm. I quit for a few months every now-and-then because of classes. When I can't find time for homework plus wow after my job, I don't login for a month or so.
Anyways, yeah, I eat a lot better food whenever I'm gaming constantly Apples for a snack instead of some chips and dip. I also find I'm not hungry as often. I'll look at the clock and notice three hours have gone by, and I "should probably" eat dinner, right after I finish this quest hub. Then it's midnight and I need to go to bed.
I thought that too. Then I played it. It's very fun, it reminds me of GarrysMod (My friends and I can spend hours building things) but with more substance. There's enemies (that you didn't create) and it doesn't all die when you quit the game.
Are no broadcasts in 1080p? My TV is only 720p/1080i so I've always made sure I got my stuff at 720p. But I thought that 1080p was available too..
Forget Norway...
Kenya!
Oh Kenya!
Where the girafess,
and the Zebra!
I preordered Portal 2 from Amazon. Thankfully, they honored their preorder as well!

I'll bet on the latter. It seemed perfect normal until someone pointed it out.

Vimium for chrome. I love using j/k to scroll. Accidently hitting 'd' to close a tab is kind of a pain sometimes, though.
Can you link to this alleged game? Searching for "Patent game" is... less than satisfactory..
I thought you wanted us to find you a consumer you can buy. I was going to direct to your local downtown area.

Better than me, I read the summary two times substituting "bluetooth." I was very confused.

Seriously, can we get any more speculative? Spam rates dropping, due to Skype update? Possibly.

And.. I did not mean to capitalize "apple". I hate "Apple" and don't own any of their products.. this scares me.. what does it mean?
