Sure you're a sovereign nation on one of these craft, but if you do something wrong, instead of the cops paying you a visit, you'll have a guided-missile destroyer ringing your doorbell.
The FBI paid Verizon $2,500 apiece to upgrade 1,140 old telephone switches. Oddly the report didn't redact the total amount paid to the telecom â" slightly more than $2.9 million dollars â" but somehow the bad guys will win if they knew the number of switches and the cost paid."
The day the evildoers learn to use the * key for multiplication is the day of the apocalypse.
If they can trim down CNet's ops and effectively tie it in with their MTV and sports properties, I think they might do okay. The news.com domain is probably the most valuable piece of the deal, easily worth a few hundred million.
Really? What media conglomerate would that be? Hard Rock Cafe'? Major League Baseball started using Silverlight for some of its video players last season.
Quite simply, if they were there for safety, cities would put warning signs up at intersections that have cameras, people would slow down, less people would run lights, and less accidents would occur. I have never seen a warning sign at such an intersection, so their financial motives are pretty clear.
Software companies have often overlooked bugs affecting user experience in favor of making sure no one can use said software without paying for it.
For those who modded me "flamebait" I am not an Apple/Linux fanboi or MS hater, my comment just makes light of the fact that companies often make silly oversights.
While the iPhone and Surface each represent their respective manufacturer's first attempt at touch computing, they are not designed for the same purpose nor the same customer, so comparing them is pretty silly.
One amusing note: AT&T's Surface software is NOT iPhone compatible.
the fact that the trick wasn't removed from SP1 suggests that Microsoft executives approved the back door as a way to make the price of Vista more appealing to sophisticated buyers.
Actually the starships look more like the DC-8, not the DC-9. It is no coincidence that John Travolta's personal plane is a Boeing 707, which is of the same era and looks very similar to the DC-8.
Honestly, I kind of expected that endeavor to fail as a result of those two news stories, I'm pleased to find out they are continuing on their contract although I question further contracts with Virgin. Sir Richard Branson has a big stake in this, both financially and in the reputation of his brand, and he's already collected $30 million in deposits from passengers. Unless there's some kind of disaster, I suspect Virgin will be in this for the long haul.
Apparently in the mid to late 1910s there were a number of these on the market. Jay Leno owns a similarly balla-ass car, a 1915 Baker Electric with a drivetrain was designed by George Westinghouse himself.
Maybe there are bootleg Cisco routers in the Capitol office building.
U fale @ teh spelingz.
Sorry, Soviet Russia was not formed until 1922. Tunguska occurred 14 years too early for this meme.

I was hoping for something like the History Eraser Button from Ren & Stimpy.
If you'd RTFA, you'd know the high school team's entry is simply a modified and very much DOT approved Toyota Corolla.

Good luck writing a driver for a cat.
I always had a sneaking suspicion that the icanhascheezburger cats were just TOO pro-America to be real. Now I understand.
Will tech support for this Indian computer be outsourced to Dell reps in Texas?
Don't let it happen again. :)

Not always. Ask Eliot Spitzer.
But will we have 3G iPhones?

Oh right, the bees that pollinate corn are dying, too. What's plan C?
Only 85%? Aren't humans and earthworms like 90% similar?
