the nature of creating solutions has polarized. we've gone from wired communications media and engines of the industrial age to nanotechnology. nanotechnology rarely comes out that revolutionizes a service that is visibly used by millions. it's like those big bang theory guys that made the physics app... they said "well 7% of the world population will have a use for this app". i mean you have to be pretty far up the intellect scale to approach such a task and it's hard for the middle-intellectuals to see something completely new that will grow legs with the masses.
when i was first learning wireless many moons ago, i used to take my laptop to the food court at the mall, and install all the printers in the jewelry kiosks then print off insults from wordpad to the workers. i was never malicious. just silly. but in this day and age you have to be careful. 90% of people doing that sort of thing have malicious intent.
remember the good old days when you would borrow your neighbors wifi, and like picking up litter at a playground you just used, you would run a virus scan on their drives as a courtesy?
they do it here. every day there's another one caught in my county. these guys are all over the peer networks sharing pictures of kids. sickos.
i work for an ISP and it amazes me how they have no idea that we see everything they do.
omg stop. I'm not supposed to laugh at things like this..
Condolences to his loved ones. I've probably spent a small fortune making him rich between 1987 and 1998.
sounds to me like ", allegedly created a fake VPN token in the name of a non-existent employee which he tricked Gucci IT staff into activating" means he found a serious process issue.
everywhere ive ever worked you had to jump through more hoops than a Ringling brothers trained animal to get any access. In most places, IS security calls physical security (or the other way around) and the resulting person has to check with a manager of a department who gets authority from someone with director in their name. I guess gucci will be enlarging it's process model now.
I maintain my old page for bands and show information but this week i got hit with numerous "imaginary" attractive female user adds. i thought the idea of spam was to head for a target rich environment.
you know management has been circumventing science and productivity for centuries. the old saying goes "nothing can be idiotproofed, because nature has an uncanny way of improving the idiot".
You could add stealth teleporters to airports, management and congress would find a way to make it useless.
used server running linux and snort---$5000.00
beer and pizza to spend a year pretending to do research while ignoring the conf file and logs.... $995,000.00
lol, good luck with that. infosec to people on the outside is like earthquakes and tsunamis, they only worry about it after it happens and then only for enough time for their short-term memory to allow them to move on.
ok, it sounds like you are defending this book harder than I was criticizing it. Do we have a fiscal stake in it's success? I could care less or more (no i don't mean couldn't care less). I just posted that it smelled like a meal I'd already eaten. I'll be reading a different book next month and won't care. It strikes me that you will be in another open forum defending this one.
you could view my misspelling as an avoidance of plagiarizing the previous uses of the word.
Brought to you by the department of non-entertaining-irony.
did any of them actually leave their mothers' basements and go out into the world and talk to REAL girls?

semantics. i used to enjoy semantics. i'm not looking forward to when the other pluto is downgraded from dog based on standards held by goofy!

they arent going to publish that info because the bad guys will use it to circumvent it's protections.

to be taught how to deceive voters on both sides of the aisle while bankrupting a state that used to be a world-superpower all by itself.
protect child-predators? I don't think the anti-christ is that bad if he is truly the polar opposite of the vatican.
the editing feature turning what i once enjoyed as a reputable information source into something of juvenile amusement.
used this for silly pranks like chasing the boss' car home from work?

but I thought Johannes Kepler was dead
If allowed to move into "noprivacyville" i would quickly take to nudity. Within a week, they'd amend the snot out of that idea.
