    To his employer, his work is worth the cost of physical inputs + the cost of wages or salary + the cost of relevant taxes, regulations and marketing + the markup at the point of sale.

    Yeah, Singapore is a beautiful place, I went there earlier in the year and my basis for comparison is New Zealand. They aren't really a 'democracy' but the country runs like clockwork and puts the West to shame.

    Excellent post. I agree with everything you said except for the bit where you say that drugs don't solve problems. If I hadn't had access to LSD and cannabis when I needed them, I would probably still be a depressed anxiety-ridden shut in relying on prescription drugs.

    In New Zealand we've been waiting about 12 years for competition between carriers to remove caps. Still hasn't happened. Good luck with that.

    Charging per unit of data is as retarded as charging per unit of electricity. Both show total lack of understanding of the concepts and both should be handled by nonprofits.

    I remember video chats on dialup. 2 - 3 fps at 320x300, terrible 8kbit sound streams. Cellphone video cameras are upwards of 8 megapixel these days. 1080p video conferencing on a desktop is not at all an unreasonable request. Maybe we should just stop developing all types of tech once they become just bareable enough to use?

    So, you elect criminals, and then when they do criminal things, you pretend you didn't elect them? Whether Americans think they should be held responsible for the actions of their government is irrelevant. Your living standards are too high for your to look around and see what is being done in your name. The rest of us don't care much for your schizophrenic world view.
