Yes they want to bypass it. Comcast will disconnect you if they think you have too many copyright violations. It is just another added step to "fine you" to allow your access to remain. This is coming no matter what people think. The days of open Internet are coming to a close. The next step will only allow people to connect to the Internet via "approved" devices.
Had a hankering to watch "The FP" the other day, which is about as indie as you can get, which I originally viewed on Netflix, annnnnnd no.
How about "Monarch of the Moon", also originally viewed on Netflix? Click click...Nope.
Damn you just wont drop you marketdroid bullshit will you. The average consumer will stop buying PCs fullstop and only power users and businesses will, end of story. No matter what the fuck you do with Windows anal probe, it makes no difference, there is no market to sell it to. M$ is dead as shit on the TV and on the tablet and on the phone, dead, rotting, done (and still managing to make it worse). As for those devices all Apple has to say is M$ is watching you masturbate on a windows device and we don't;D.
Welp, go ahead and argue the same point I am arguing. I would suggest getting rabies treatment before the hydrophobia kicks in. I hear that sucks.
The average consumer will not buy WindowsSE edition, wake up to your self. The average consumer will buy an Android or Apple tablet and an Android or Apple Big Screen all in one and an Android or Apple smart phone and an educational and knowledge tool Android or Apple notebook (simple near disposable product for school and work). Only power users and companies will be buying PCs, so M$ are fucking with them to try to sell a brand of product to people that quite simply will no longer be buying that product, now that's stupid. Basically to try to sell a brand of product to the average consumer who will no longer be buying that particular product they are pissing off the market base that still will be buying that product but now will be forced by M$s idiocy to buy a different brand of that product. So the M$ market droids are so far up their collective asses prying into every ones else's arse, they are trying to win a market that is ceasing to exist (average consumers buying personal computers) and doing so by destroying their share of the market that will still exist (power and business users who will still buy personal computers). Good luck with that morons;D.
You did, in fact read my comment, right? Which made the point consumers will not sacrifice security for shiny things and WindowsSE would never go anywhere right?
If that were true, they would produce WindowsSE a secure edition that you buy with all the crap missing and guaranteed to remain missing. They choose not to do this, so yeah, huge stinking conspiracy and they are no longer to be trusted.
The problem with that idea is that you assume the average consumer is willing to accept workarounds or missing features or new applications they don't know in order to have a more secure OS. So, why isn't this the year of Linux on the Desktop again?
Who the crap cares about the EULA. Why the insane push to force windows 10. This is the stuff of conspiracies, what exactly is M$ really up to. Why the desperate need to force as many computers over to windows 10 as possible, in as short a time as possible. Why the insane push to take over so many machines, with monitoring and enforced remote control software. This is the sort of craziness you see in sci fi books where the intent is to take over and silence all opposition, it's like M$ has gone collectively insane. Main stream media stays completely silent, governments across the planet stay silent and consumer protection agencies stay silent. This would be exactly how you would force a big brother network. Replace secure operating systems with a completely remote controlled operating system. Either use it off the network or the government via M$ controls you computer equipment. M$ is just behaving crazier and crazier.
Not defending the alleged unattended updates, but I figure Microsoft is regretting spawning 19 million versions of Windows and then having to support them. I figure they are just pushing Windows 10 so hard so that they can consolidate everything around one basic codebase as much as possible.
That analogy doesn't work. Unfortunately, with computer gear (and especially Apple), you run into issues where older kit is no longer supported. To follow up with your analogy, you have to buy the newest car since the highways will ban the older cars from driving on them.
I propose a novel treatment:
Seal pure water into a container and place it into a microwave oven for 1 millisecond (or a microsecond for extreme cases). Sell it as a homopathic treatment for $50/ounce.
Then shake shake shake. Then shake some more. Once you're done, shake....Shake, shake, repeat.
I ran into something like that with one of my netbooks. I forget the exact Intel video chip set, but they had outsourced it to another company. Said company had no interest in either opensourcing the driver or Linux support beyond REALLY slow. They were so anti-opensource, Intel didn't even have the data from the company for them to create a Linux driver.
Let's assume for a moment that the principal spent the last 35ish years off this planet and hence does not know what a Stormtrooper is...
What does he see? A guy in a plastic suit. Why would anyone who has anything indecent in mind put himself into gear that impacts his ability to move and see negatively?
The principal's behaviour is irrational at best. Insane at worst.
Remove the licenses for other taxi companies, and they will offer the same price as Uber.
Those companies already got the cars, trained drivers, a complete support network, decades of experience...
They would bury Uber in any case where they would be allowed to play by the same rules.
Hell... they could probably forgo on the whole "mobile app" thing.
Calling a dispatcher and getting assigned and forwarded the closest car is nothing particularly innovative and has worked since... well since one was able to use a phone to call a taxi.
No need for GPS or touch screen or whatever...
Hell... call it a feature. "Retro-Taxi". For all the hipsters out there.
You know, I do need to get from point A to point B, but NOT if it involves skinny jeans...
Use this one simple trick to free up hard drive space! Sysadmins hate it!
Just submit a pull request to the repo already.
they still can't alter your computer without a very specific court order.
That's why they won't. They'll ask your ISP to disconnect you. Much simpler.
Why THAT won't stop ME! I'll just get another ISP! The free market and FCC guarantee me multiple broadband opt... oh...
I use a VPN on my bloody tablet. If I am going to be going around on public WiFi a lot, I don't want to have to worry about some punk with a sniffer.

But I don't WANT a Mac/iPad!

So. What I get on a tablet is the beta interface? I thought this had died long ago...
Or maybe try something like this?
I actually use to have a Targa rig.
I don't use Print Screen, I use Greenshot.
They did get around to (mostly) repairing that after a bit
Yeah, about 3 or 4 weeks. How long do you think you would have waited on Android?
Blame the carriers for that one. One would almost think they would want more secure devices on their network, but, whatever.

Here's the thing. What if you DO work, but can't get many hours?
The Emperor provides...WiFi...
I tried to google this but I told me the news was too old.
Why did you tell you that?
You didn't. It was me. Stop stealing my thunder.

I'll just stick with my Mailbird, thank you very much.
I knew what that clip was without even clicking it...
