They have a DMCA form for copyright holders to use. If the MPAA doesn't wanna use it, tough shit. It's why the safe harbor clause exists. They have a way to get the files taken down, and are choosing not use it and instead are doing an end run around the law plain and simple.
It's plenty fair to punish the whole chain. If the corporate HQ allows a franchise to act like this without having their franchise license revoked, then you boycott the whole chain. It's like boycotting Activision. You don't just boycott Activision's own stuff, you boycott any devs who sign up with them for publishing too. You choose to do business with an entity of questionable ethics, you suffer the consequences. In this case that would be any franchisees as well as wholly owned locations.
Do you even know what The Scarlet Pimpernel was about? Your literary reference-fu is weak.
It's not my characterization - I'm making a reference to what others have called him. I also don't think he's an angel.
I apologize. That's just the first I've seen someone say that and it struck me as just wrong. That's....actually worse that a UK paper's 'journalist' doesn't know what the book was about, to compare the two like that. Assange would be more aptly compared to Zorro, if Zorro was a douchebag.
He sent the details to the parents. Those are the only people he has to convince. Whiny mouth breathers on/. demanding that MS provide proof are not on his list of people he has to convince or impress.
And arrogant asses like yourself who don't understand than an action like this impacts confidence in Microsoft's service but get modded up anyway by moderators with sand in their vagina over "whiny mouth breathers" (I have allergies, you insensible clod!) are not on the list of people who have anything useful to say.
Butthurt much? Let me try this one more time, I'll even go slow for you to understand.
They. sent. the. details. to. the. parents.
These. are. the. only. people. that. matter.
Was that slow enough for you? This has nothing to do with *any* of us. You can claim you have an imaginary right to know, because of some half baked claim that it hurts confidence in the service but 40million+ people seem to disagree and go right on using it because they expect cheaters to be dealt with. The parents went screaming and crying to the media because they're douchebags who think the world owes their kid something because he has a problem and the media latch onto shit like this because it gets ratings and outrages people who can't sit for two seconds and think for themselves. If this were a normal Live member who claimed MS did this to him cause he's good at games, people would tell them to stfu and not cheat next time.
tl;dr version: It's none of our business what evidence MS has and supplied the parents with.
So we're just supposed to believe the person who banned him without any details. Is twitter now a reliable source?

"Grew" You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Recovery != Growth. Growth is what comes *after* you've gotten back to where you were. Another thing. Everyone keeps citing growth this growth that, but the unemployment numbers haven't changed. Where's the growth? Where's the recovery? Here's a little fact about about unemployment numbers that people tend to ignore: They don't count people who have given up on finding a job completely, and they don't count people who have had their benefits run out but are still looking. There's also no serious mention in the media or by officials of under-employed people working minimum wage service industry jobs because they *need* a job *now* and can't find one elsewhere. These people sure aren't seeing that 'growth' or 'recovery' that every politician seems so happy to yammer on and on about.
Well, that's one down. Where's Google's patent indemnification to protect the chip makers from MPEG-LA patent suits? Oh, that's right. Google has so far refused to do so. Good luck with that.
Seems to me, CIA/Mossad devs (if it is in fact one or both of them involved) could have purposely have done it this way to throw anyone trying to figure out who did it, off the trail. These researchers are proving that to be an effective method of dealing with possible tracking.
Do you load up everything you possibly can on your PC and let it all run in the background and then complain cause your PC is slow? No? Then why do it on your phone? This isn't the phones fault.
Either work with the phone's hardware limitations or get a new one. Complaining that the phone is slow because you've let apps gorge themselves on it's RAM and CPU cycles just makes you look like an idiot.

Like the monkeys writing Shakespeare, they need more time to copy proper security?
Intel didn't catch this til after they started shipping and these boards were in the channel. That's hardly 'in advance.'
Moving the iPhone UI from one device to another device that has identical function, only larger, is not innovative.

Seems to me they had issues the last time they rushed a product to beat AMD, as well. Ghosts of the i820 MTH fiasco.

You can't patch in hardware acceleration. It's either there or it's not. In the case of WebM, it's not.

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things is not the same...

The police are just doing what the politicians told them to do
You know who else was just doing what the politicians told them to do? Nazis. That excuse didn't work then, it shouldn't work now.
Lumines is not a PS3 exclusive. It's been on XBLA for some time now.
same thing was possible with the 9550 Pro -> 9700 and with the 9700 -> 9700 Pro both were done with BIOS flashing

It's not.
Righthaven *doesn't publish anything* they only buy the articles from the authors/owners and then sue people for using them.
