Maybe you didn't read this one exactly right. Those on the far-left view some on the left as conservative b/c those people are leftist enough for their tastes. For example, many in the media aren't totatlly opposed to corporations which hire people and give people jobs.
Those same people who view liberal media as conservative view Fox News as ultra-conservative. So that probably means Fox News is moderate.
That's a great point. Amazon only gets a cut when it sells. I use Amazon to sell books. My wife sells on ebay. She does reasonably well, but I'm getting tired of ebay.
This isn't news to those who have actually watched the darn channel. Gretta Van whatever, Geraldo, Juan Williams, Gen. Wesley Clark appear on Fox News all the time. It's just that they are to the right of most liberal media outlets. And some far-out leftists view liberal media outlets conservative because they aren't socialists.
There is a direct causal relationship between the communists taking over in Vietnam and the communists taking over and establishing the killing fields in Cambodia. Not to mention all the people of Vietnam who had to go to camp, were killed, repressed, etc.
the economy shifts all the time. What you like to do and where you can add the most value do not always coincide.
I am reading the writing on the wall and using software as an entry into other technical areas where I can gain experience. Software as applied technology, a means to an ends. Which, ultimately, makes sense. Software for software sake doesn't seem like a growth industry. My advice, and it is worth little, is get proficient in something else. If you like software, you can always use software towards that something.
"Even when that person has become a mass murder (of children) and is hell-bent on becoming a brutal dictator through any means necessary? And besides, it wasn't like Obi-Wan went after Anakin with the sole intention of killing him. Sure, it was something he knew he might be forced to do, but he still continued to try to reason with him. Only when it became clear that he was beyond being reasoned with did they come to blows. And even at the end of the battle, Obi-Wan was still trying to avoid killing him (i.e. "Don't try it... I have the higher ground"). But Anakin continued to fight, and Obi-Wan did what he had to do."
Kind of reminds me of America's relationship with Iraq from Gulf War I through the Clinton years to the second war. But that's a tangent.
My biggest bone to pick with the movie was the whole "only Siths deal in absolutes." Except for that one. And that one. And that one...
"I prefaced my query to Linus by recounting my observations from a Usenix conference in San Diego a few years ago. He was a speaker that day, and a group of BSD users came right down to the front row to hear him. In fact, they laughed and joked with him, and eventually gave Linus one of the beanies with horns on it they were wearing, a familiar symbol to BSD fans. They may have been surprised by his reaction. I was. He took the beanie they offered, put it on, and wore it during his entire presentation. No big deal, the leader of the Linux kernel wearing BSD colors. He defused what could have been a contentious moment."
Did one of them have a shiv or something? I'm failing to see the tension of this moment.
I would be someone who wouldn't want a cure from a created life. And I wouldn't want government to pay for it. I would rather die with my conscience clear.
The argument is not at all off-base. The point was that different views on something do not affect reality. That may be debated, but why should someone who holds a view think reality is different b/c two people hold two different views?
The majority opinion, based on reports, seems to say "we don't have expertise. We defer to other governmental organization."
2 members out of how many?
People are stone-cold thieves and they try to justify their thievery in order to squelch their conscience.
It has occurred to me. But Europe is so far left, I can see how you can view things that way.
That's why I support as much information and views as possible. So people can make up their own mind.

Well, good thing my posts aren't an end in themselves.
How committed they are to Linux? They will use Linux if it benefits them. They won't otherwise.
If they start using OSX instead of Linux, would it really matter? Should users care about what OS they are using?

Everyone knows America was the bad guys in the Vietnam War. So the Commies are responsible for the Killing Fields and MS wants to help them.
Seriously, after aging hippies apologize for wrecking SE Asia, I'll get upset at Microsoft.
It's only ironic to those who classify too much AC in a movie theater as a gulag. Or McDonald's stopping breakfast at 11AM.

Although many people wouldn't mind.
This link would be worth reading:
blog entry which delves into this further
Even if you like Microsoft's products, enjoy your XBox, don't care about their monopolistic practices, etc., this has got to make you cringe.
I don't think you'll find anyone who supports this. But I would assume Microsoft is banking on people not caring enough to do anything about it.

Amazon started to turn profits. Stranger things have happened.
I'm interested in backstory as the next guy, but I would like it kept to novels and comic books.
I enjoyed I & II even though they weren't great. III was great. But more movies outside of the Anakin story arch?
the cheaper it will be to produce for the long haul. I would think Sony would be in favor of that.
No AMD?

If a gay woman wants to get married to a man they are permitted to.
