    Speaking of nuclear weapons...

What happens if this "Brain City" becomes a military target for an anti-western nation, or any nation that might oppose scientific thought? All it would take is a single attack to wipe-out so much research and great thinkers.

Don't we try to avoid the single point of failure and prefer distributed networks for this reason?

Now with much of these materials buried in landfills, it will be a impractical idea to try to recover them. Duh! How could we be so stupid.

Eh, not so. We are simply stockpiling away our precious resources for future generations to locate and mine.

Granted, I believe it would take approx. 100,000 years for some of those materials to decompose, but it should be right around the time human technology production recovers from our upcoming nuclear holocaust.

Stunningly ironic is that the party that goes on about those "poor minorities that need our help" has a black man making a damned good run. Seems kinda counter to the nonsense about the minorities need our help and handouts
Except you forget one thing: Obama isn't black. Enough.

While he is a minority, he is not what many people consider black. To Americans, black is not a skin color, it is a group of people who were brought here through the slave trade, won their freedom and now continue to fight for equal rights and privileges. So while he is from Africa, his family lineage does not come through slavery, hence he is not black. He is actually an African-American.

This is why Obama has not earned the support among the black community that many thought he should.

I definitely agree with this assessment.

It will probably not be too useful for regular use, but for video production and all, it will be a lifesaver. I have one of those final cut pro kb's at work and it is a pain to try and read all the little color-coded icons, and all the letter, but having the ability to switch back and forth would be really cool. Plus I could customize my hotkeys and the icons would automatically change.

    I would definitely snag one,

    But will it run Linux?

"If you aren't buying a house, car, or a new credit card..." Or a sofa, or a tv or a new dell computer or a personal appliance, or anything else that requires you to use a consumer line of credit. I know you said credit cards... but there is more than that. I think most people would be quite unpleasantly surprised if they were ever to find out how many things are attached to your credit file. While I think this is something good for victims of id theft, it would be too much hassle to go without being able to use credit in the US economy.

"The concept of confinement promotes more detail-oriented processing." Except that less restricted thinking does not always lead to wealth. Sometimes the people who are the most detail oriented are better prepared to handle the rigors of society. I can't imagine that you would prefer a open-thinking surgeon to one who is going to make sure that every stitch inside and out is perfect.
